Hey Jammers! Zyd here playing Animal Jam - Play Wild! on Steam.

I've been playing AJPW on Steam for a month and now, let me tell you why I like playing AJPW better on Steam!

1. Pack Runs are Easier To Play

Like seriously, you can just use WASD or the arrow keys and play along with your mouse, just simply click once on them.

2. Cheaper Membership Prices

The membersip prices is actually pretty cheap, for me.

[LEFT] What it looks like on mobile devices (This includes iOS & Android), and [RIGHT] Which is sold on Steam, and you might need some Steam Wallet.

For some reason, Valve really put an effort on balancing an app's price based on a currency's price.
So, it's a big win for countries other than the US, Swiss, Australia, and Europe.

3. Editing Dens is Easier

Who couldn't possibly edit their dens? Obviously everyone does, but it's not accurately put on the place they wanted, your finger is literally blocking your point of view.

With AJPW on Steam, anything is possible to edit your den.

4. The Steam In-Game Overlay

If you don't know what's the Steam in-game overlay looked like, well here it is. Just SHIFT + TAB :)

spiked collars, pfft.

With the overlay, you can access the friends tab easily, and most importantly, the web browser. It sort of like a cloud system, just log in (any websites with accounts) and the next time you play on another PC, you'll be automatically logged in based on your Steam Account's data cache.

5. Painting Masterpieces

Painting masterpieces is easier on Steam, just take a look on this masterpiece that I made!

Oh yeah, this requires a drawing tablet in order to make them look nice.

Note: Steam aj is VERY buggy and disconnects all the time. (atleast for me)
Some examples are some bundles from the premium shop missing, some paid items displaying that they are 0 dollars, some buttons not even working, inability to pay for items (and even if you manage to, you dont even get the item and still get charged) sometimes not able to change your fit/animal, loading sprite staying on top of the animal editor screen + background being a black void, sometimes not even getting daily spinner items until you gain something else + when you do get the item, you cant even click the accept button since it doesnt even work, so you are forced to restart.
TL;DR: Steam aj is very, very buggy and can disrupt your player experience a bit, tho if you dont mind the bugs, you can still play it if you want to. And it seems like AJHQ isnt going to fix these bugs anytime soon.

drawing is easier for me on mobile but that's because i always draw on my phone since i don't have a drawing tablet

I am an item hoarder so I prefer mobile for chance to get an alpha chest from watching ads! I play on both phone and steam though because they both have their pros and cons for sure!
