1.Enabling 3D acceleration using the XWA Wrapper.
To be able to use 3D wireframe you have to get the 3D acceleration working with the XWA Wrapper created by Reimar Döffinger. It's a simple fix that requires to copy two configuration files ddraw.cfg and ddraw.dll to the Tie Fighter Remastered directory.
It's explained in great detail over here:
Teleguys Tiefighter 3D acceleration fix.

Thanks teleguy for making this.
2.Enabling Wireframe mode.
Once your 3D accelerated Tie Fighter Remastered is working and you had enuff of the fancy textures , you can go on and modify the ddraw.cfg for retro wireframe look.
Here's how: Browse to the Tie Fighter Remastered file folder. (right click the game properties/ local files/ browse local files and browse to remastered folder.
If you did your 3d Acceleration fix right, which I assume you did. You should have the ddraw.cfg sitting in that folder.
Open the file with the Windows Editor and find the segment that reads: Fillwireframe=0
change the 0 to a 1 and hit save.
You might find that there are other handy options like aspect ratio, anti aliasing, texture filtering etc. there too...but I wont go into any of those here, since it is documented in the file itself aswell.

When ingame you might want to turn of Planets and Galaxies in the Inflight Options,
since they wil come out as boring rectangles that dont do anything.
Here's a screenshot of some Corellian Corvettes in wireframe.

To go back to the original setting simply reverse the steps above and replace the 1 with a 0 again.
3.Disclaimer/ Use at your own risk./ make backups of your files etc.
I won't take any responsibility if you ruin your installation or your life by using this Wireframe mode.
