Ness - Playable character

Play as Ness, the psychic hero from Earthbound!

Ness comes prepared with the psychic abilities of Telekinesis and Ludovico Technique, as well as the Schoolbag and the Baseball Bat. (if you have the Baseball Bat mod installed and enabled)

It can be a bit of a challenge sometimes to balance between the remotely controlled tear and melee attacks but it makes things interesting.

He starts with 1 red heart, 1 black heart, 1 key and 5 coins.

Should work with True Co-op.


In Repentance the Tainted form does not have the schoolbag, they have Psy fly instead of Telekinesis and they have Eye of the Occult instead of Ludovico, but they can only have 1 tear active at a time.

Collecting the Birthright item causes Ness to gain Jacob's Ladder and the ludo tear gains a long distance homing effect, tainted Ness can now fire 2 tears at a time instead of just 1.
