The music overhaul nobody asked for! Replaces Killing Floor's entire soundtrack(excluding events) with tracks from Atlus's Devil Survivor series. Click HERE,HERE and HERE for what to expect by using this overhaul.

I've played KF with a whole bunch of DS music for the longest while but having been recently inspired by Lord Hipster the 9th's Persona Overhaul, I've taken it upon myself to finish what I've already started by replacing all the music with appropriate tracks from DS and to share the results with anyone who might be interested. I've tried mixing it up with each rest wave track having a unique track but combat wave tracks have duplicates; hopefully the tracks themselves prove catchy enough that you won't mind too much. Feel free to mix it up with the original tracks because zYnthetic is still the bees' knees.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
*If you're grabbing the RAR from mediafire, skip to step 3. In fact if you're that downloady saavy, you might as well skip these poorly written instructions and do as you please with the files.*

1. Subscribe to the workshop item . The download is 89.6 MB according to Steam but if the download finishes at less than 89.6 MB, resub to the mod to force Steam to continue downloading.

2. After the download is complete, launch Killing Floor and get to the main menu. The top right should have the overhaul's name after a few seconds. Exit Killing Floor and head to your Killing Floor folder to verify that you have successfully downloaded a Devil_Survivor_Soundtrack_for_Killing_Floor.rar file .
If you don't see it, repeat step 1 and 2. If you have trouble finding the right folders, the pathfile should look something like Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor for most folks.

3. Make a backup(rightclick, copy and paste the folder somewhere else) of your Music folder so that you can easily revert back should you find the new music not to your liking.

4. Open Devil_Survivor_Soundtrack_for_Killing_Floor.rar with WINRAR, 7-zip or whatever compression utility you use and extract the music folder to your killingfloor folder. A good indication of success is if you're prompted to overwrite .ogg files. Say yes to all and you should be good to go. Another good indicator that it was properly installed is when you load up the game and find the main menu's theme is different.

OPTIONAL:
In the same RAR is the folder Alternate Patriarch music and within is the Battle of the Brave version of KF_Abandon, which plays during the Patriarch fight. If you prefer it over Deep Night[/u], then you can copy the file and replace the KF_Abandon in the Music folder. Don't forget to make a backup of both in case you prefer Deep Night after all, like me.

*UPDATE 17/07/2013*
Here's a link for Garuda[www.mediafire.com] as a third option to kf_abandon.You can also replace another track with it by renaming but personally, I think it makes a kickass Patriarch song.

UPDATING:
If you are subscribed to the overhaul then Steam should've already acquired the new RAR, ready for you to extract over the previous tracks. If not, resub or download from the new mediafire link and follow installation instructions.


NOTES
- The .ogg tracks are going to sound garbled in the music player you use. Don't fret, I just bumped up the dB in Audacity during the conversion process so that they can be heard in-game and sound totally fine, at least to me. Let me know if there are any issues with audio quality in-game though.
-I spent an hour editing the map INTs to play a customized music playlist during the waves only to find that none of them work. If anybody has any ideas how to edit the music playlist of maps properly, just give me a shout.
