If you've seen my other songs, you know my mind goes strange places. (I probably shouldn't have bought it that lifetime bus pass.) Last night the kid asked if I was going to write a song cussing out the berry-gobblers I rant about sometimes... and this is the result. (No actual cursing involved.)

You see them come into the town
Out from the wild, their food bar down
But do they eat the tasty stew?
That's not what they know how to do
They run straight to the berry fields
All shining with their full-grown yields
All berries stuffed into their gobs
Before they run back to their jobs

Now berries bright are tasty, true
But they don't fill you up like stew
Or eat a piece of yummy pie
And send your spirit to the sky

But please just take some good advice
One berry will keep you alive

Grab berry two and drop it down
Into the bowl that is around
Now pick it up, and eat the bowl
And get some Yum to save your soul
Now you have time to find some stew
A popcorn bowl, sauerkraut too
Raw food for Yum or in a pinch
I hope you don't think I'm a grinch...

Burritos, tacos, even bread
And mangoes with their skin so red

Well, not a farming song this time, but a farming-related song. This is mainly because it makes me cringe to see an adult run into camp and eat an entire bush of berries when there's stew and pies around...
