Dead By Daylight Fan Chapter : Curse of the Tomb
由 Birdskull 制作
Curse of the Tomb is a fan Chapter for Dead by Daylight. Hatred is a powerful thing - it infects the soul like a virus, overtaking all rational thought and reason until nothing is left but the undying longing to maim and slaughter. He was once like her, filled with hope, and love, and strength. Now he is but a vessel, a messenger that performs the most brutal of actions to please an ever-festering desire to destroy. She runs, and she survives, and she hopes. And it is that hope that separates herself, from the horrific corpse that chases her through every second of this waiting nightmare.

Killer: The Mummy
“Another horror pursues me in the night, driven by the insane lust for blood, the undying need to please this wicked entity. A shriveled corpse, wrapped in rags, carrying with it the sickening stench of rot and decay. I had seen one like it many times in my local museum as a child. Though then, I had never expected to leave its sarcophagus, and chase me into the fog."

Difficulty rating: Intermediate

Background
5,000 years ago, ancient Egypt was ruled by the pharaoh Nimrah the Idol. The great king was revered for his power and wealth, adoring himself with the finest of jewelry and belongings, and carrying a beautiful golden scepter wherever he walked. When wealth and power became boring to the pharaoh, he lead a crusade to take full control of all the neighboring lands. Nimrah was cruel to those below him, and no soul in Egypt was safe from his pitiless brutality. People starved or died of exhaustion working to build the empire of the Idol. Like those before and after him, Nimrah built his palace on the bodies and blood of those he enslaved.
Then one night, a revolution was initiated and the rebelling people stormed Nimrah’s palace. In total fear of the consequences of his rule, Nimrah fled for his life. After days of pursuit, the people he had beaten and abused cornered the pharaoh in an old temple, and sealed him inside. With no air to breath, Nimrah the Idol suffocated, curled up in a corner, clutching his golden belongings, and cursing those who sealed his fate to his final breath.
Thousands of years later, the mummified corpse of Nimrah was discovered by archaeologists, and taken to the Willowbay Museum in Europe. It was there that something stirred the breath in Nimrah’s rotten throat. He could see again. He could breathe again! Unaware of his own physical form, Nimrah the Idol staggered off into the night, as the entity took him, almost caringly, into its dark embrace.

The Mummy's Perks
These are Perks which start off only appearing in The Mummy’s Bloodweb. After achieving Level 30, Teachable versions of these Perks can be found:
  • Hold Your Breath - Level 30
  • Golden Greed - Level 35
  • Hex: Curse of the Idol - Level 40
Once obtained, other Killers will be able to find The Mummy's Perks in their respective Bloodwebs from that point onward.

Hold Your Breath
Your cruel and efficient killing methods please the entity, and it rewards you accordingly. Upon hooking a survivor, the hooked survivor’s aura is hidden from all other survivors that are 32/24/16 meters away from the hook or more.
"He… He just… Disappeared."
Unique to Mummy until Level 30, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other Killers.

Golden Greed
Greed kills. When a survivor searches a chest, 50/75100% of the time you will receive a visual notification. Survivor searching speed decreased by 6/12/24%.
"Leave it alone. Greed is a killer."
Unique to The Mummy until Level 35, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other Killers.

Hex: Curse of the Idol
A Hex that curses survivor objectives. So long as the hex totem is active, survivors cannot see generator progression, or hear the generator's noise.
If Hex: Curse of the Idol is still in affect when the exit gates are powered, survivors cannot see the gate progression, and the gate lights appear unlit.
Hex: Curse of the Idol effects 2/3/4 survivors during the trial.
"It’s not responding, I don’t understand!"
Unique to The Mummy until Level 40, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other Killers.

Load-out
Weapon: Scepter of the Gods
A tall gold-and-blue scepter formed in the shape of an egyptian crook, encrusted with jewels.
  • When striking a survivor, the Mummy examines the blood as it drips from the weapon.

Power: Accursed Cloth
When pursuing a survivor, the Mummy can lash out with cords of linen cloth to strike a survivor and pull them back to him in a quick movement.
  • Accursed Cloth can be charged up, like a hatchet or bottle throw. The longer the charge, the farther the range and better your accuracy. Movement speed is slowed while charging.
  • Default Accursed Cloth has a maximum range of 4 meters and a charge time of 2 seconds. When pulling a survivor close, you are given a moment to attack before the cooldown begins, similarly to the Nurse.
  • Upon completing a successful strike or a missed lash, the Mummy is slowed momentarily as he rebinds the linen around his wrist. Default cooldown time for a successful attack is 1.5 seconds. Cooldown for a missed attack is 3 seconds.
  • Survivors cannot be pulled over pallets or through windows, but they can be pulled down from higher floors or up from lower floors through doorways or openings.
  • After the cooldown, it takes the Accursed Cloth 10 seconds to completely recharge and be available for another lash.

Add-Ons for Accursed Cloth
Instead of doing 20 separate add-ons, I’ll just do one per tier. 20 separate add-ons would be a little crazy.

Common - Satchel of Sand
A small pouch filled with sand from a far away place.
  • Slightly increases movement speed while charging.
Uncommon - Torn Silk
A shred of silk from the finest of robes.
  • Slightly increases the range of your lash.
  • Slightly increases the charge time of your lash.
Rare - Bloody Golden Earrings
A pair of shiny golden earrings, coated in blood, forcefully torn from the ears of some unlucky person.
  • Considerably reduces lash recharge time.
  • Slightly increases the charge time of your lash.
Very Rare - Scarab Pin
A gold pin shaped like a scarab beetle.
  • Survivors can be pulled through windows and over pallets by your lash.
  • Moderately increases the charge time of your lash.
  • Moderately decreases your movement speed while charging.
Ultra Rare - Canopic Jar
An old pottery jar, covered in hieroglyphs, containing the internal organs of some long dead pharaoh. Smells like vinegar.
  • Your lash does not pull survivors back to you. Your lash now places healthy survivors into the injured state.
  • The lash cannot place survivors into the dying state.
  • Tremendously decreases lash range.
  • Moderately increases lash charge time.

The Mummy’s Appearance
The Mummy is tall and thin, almost the same height as the Huntress, though slightly shorter due to his bent shape. He is wrapped in linen strips, with large areas of exposed rotting flesh visible. His left wrist is mostly bare, with loosely-hanging pieces of cloth that he uses as his power. His head is adorned with a Nemes crown and a false-beard, both designed with glimmering gold. The Mummy walks slowly, hobbling, leaning on his scepter occasionally for support as he pursues the survivors.

The Mummy’s Mori
When performing a mori animation, the Mummy waves his scepter over the downed survivor and roars. A swarm of scarab beetles erupt from the ground and crawl all over the writhing, screaming survivor. Then the beetles disperse back into the soil, leaving the survivor nothing but a skeleton on the ground.
Survivor: Tamara MacPhee
“Another new victim has appeared in the fog. Unlike the others, she seems determined, even in the face of death itself. All I can say is that I wish for her hope to remain stronger than my own..."

Name: Tamara MacPhee
Gender: Female
Curious: Clever Survivor
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Realm: Willowbay Museum
DLC: Curse of the Tomb

Overview
Tamara MacPhee is a clever survivor, confident around the killer and constantly nearby.

Her personal Perks, Dust it Off, Distraction, and Hanging Around, allow her to distract and slow down the killer’s progress while boosting her teammates.

She is skilled at direct conflict with the killer. Her perks help to empower her fellow survivors while distracting or confusing the killer.

Difficulty rating: Intermediate

Background
Tamara MacPhee’s friends always said she was married to her work. A paid intern at the Willowbay Museum, Tamara was tasked with cleaning and preparing artifacts for the display floor. Though the work was meticulous and tiresome, Tamara didn’t mind. Nothing intrigued her more than ancient life and old relics from the past.
Then one night, when the rest of the staff were gone, Tamara stayed late to clean and prepare a particularly interesting scepter that had come from a mummy’s tomb. She wanted to study it. It was only the next day when museum officials discovered that the scepter was missing. So was Tamara. And so was the mummy.

Tamara’s Perks
These are Perks which start off only appearing in Tamara’s Bloodweb. After achieving Level 30, Teachable versions of these Perks can be found:
  • Dust it Off - Level 30
  • Distraction - Level 35
  • Lingering Bloodstains - Level 40
Once obtained, other Survivors will be able to find Tamara's Perks in their respective Bloodwebs from that point onward.

Cool and Collected
You can take a hit and shake it off!
When struck by the killer, you do not leave scratch marks or bloodstains for 2/3/5 seconds. Dust it Off causes exhaustion for 80/60/45 seconds.
”Deep breaths, phew. I’ve got this.”
Unique to Tamara until Level 30, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other Survivors.

Distraction
While you are in a chase, survivors within 16/24/32 meters of you gain a 4/8/12% increase to repair, healing, and sabotage speeds.
Distraction is activated at the start of each chase.
"Get this done. I can handle him. He’s only like, three times my size."
Unique to Tamara until Level 35, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other survivors.

Hanging Around
While hooked, if the killer is within 8/10/12 meters of the hook, your sacrifice progresses 6/9/12% slower and all other survivors gain a 5/7/9% increase to healing and repair speeds. Hanging Around only comes into effect if the killer is within the required range.
"Go, while you still have the chance! Don’t worry about me, just go!"
Unique to Tamara until Level 40, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other Survivors.

Tamara's Appearance
Tamara MacPhee is an 22yr-old woman with bright red frizzy hair and green eyes, with a scattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks. She wears a purple short sleeve shirt with the Willowbay Museum logo across the back, along with black slacks and a brown leather belt.
Realm: The Willowbay Museum
The Willowbay Museum was a great and wonderful place where families would bring their children. Once a place of knowledge and discovery, now reduced a prison of survival and instinctual, neverending fear. The wonderous exhibits take on an eerie light in the entity's realm, a place of horrific beauty that is lost upon those who wander its derilect halls.

The Willowbay Museum provides multiple large open rooms separated by walls with relatively small openings. Each room would have display cases, exhibits, and walls of artifacts that form plenty of hiding places and jungle gyms.
The Willowbay Museum realm has three variations.
  • The Natural History Wing
This map consists of wide, open halls and narrow connecting corridors. In the larger halls, one can find huge dinosaur skeletons and large cases of taxidermied animal specimens. There is also a gift-shop, which leads to the basement.

  • The Modern History Wing
This version of the realm includes large exhibitions of roman, greek, and egyptian artifacts. There is also a large open room designed to look like an egyptian tomb, which leads down into the basement.

  • The Artifact Preperation Zone
The third and final map in the Willowbay Realm is a series of desk-filled office spaces intersected by open artifact-preperation rooms. This all connects to a huge maze-like warehouse filled with crates and tall shelves stacked with boxes of unopened specimens. The basement will spawn on the far side of the map, where an open egyptian sarcophagus sits inside a preparation room.

Noted and changed! New times seem a bit more reasonable?

i like the idea of giving survivors more time to deal with facecamping, nice perks, but 5 sec cooldown for missed attack seems a lot.

@ConvoBreaker I wanted a perk that was greed-themed, since Nimrah was such a greedy pharaoh in his life. I felt it'd be fitting.

@Merciless_Eviction I'm actually working on a werewolf-themed killer now, so you can keep an eye out for that in the near future.

I REALLY like this, my only critique is the 4 meter range on the power. Lunging normally, is quite literally 4 meters. Also the looting perk just seems like a troll perk, but then again so is Franklin's, so I don't mind.

Thank you! I took great care to make this as extensive and close to the real thing as possible.
