Mega Man X4 Undub (Japanese voices for all characters)*

With this mod Mega Man X4 will feature japanese dubbing for all characters!
*Only the eight Mavericks' intro dialogs (just before the battle gets started) will not be restored. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that yet.

What this mod will change?
  • Mega Man X4 opening video changed to the original version with Makenai Aiga Kitto Aru
  • Mega Man X4 credits will play the japanese music One More Chance
  • Cutscenes with japanese voice and english subtitles by Naxshe
  • X and Ultimate Armor X are fully voiced in japanese
  • Zero is fully voiced in japanese
  • Double is fully voiced in japanese
  • Iris' intro voice in japanese
  • Colonel is fully voiced in japanese
  • General's intro voice in japanese
  • Sigma is fully voiced in japanese
  • The eight Mavericks bosses with the voices restored to japanese (it does not include the intro dialogs before the battle gets started)
Version 1 - Full
The full package, this version includes the video files for opening and cutscenes subtitled by Naxshe, also it changes the gameplay voices and the credits song.

Version 2 - Lite
This version doesn't include any video file, it just changes the gameplay voices and the credits song.
What you will need
For extracting the mod files, you will need a program that opens compressed files, like WinRAR for example. You can download it here: WinRAR[www.win-rar.com]
Installing the mod
Download one of the versions of the mod, and put the file MMX4Undub_v1.rar or MMX4Undub_v2.rar still packed in the game folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mega Man X Legacy Collection\ (or whatever directory your installation folder is). Extract the file MMX4Undub_v1.rar or MMX4Undub_v2.rar, overwrite what's asked for, and you are ready to go!

Version 1 - Full (515MB):

For anyone having issues with a steam deck, Proton GE 8-8 and this start up command do the trick:

GST_PLUGIN_FEATURE_RANK=protonaudioconverterbin:NONE %command%

Steam Deck has it's problems to play some video files. I don't have a SteamDeck to verifiy this myself, but I heard that in cases like this, you will need to use Proton GE or install the H264 codec for the videos to properly play.

I've installed the full version on my steam deck and I get a screen with color bars where the intro should be.
Is that normal?

Awesome mod. The Playstation version have one like this but it does not work well on Duckstation, now Mega Man X 4 really rocks.

Mega Man X5 and Mega Man X6 only have japanese dubbing. That's why the in game voices are the same as Rockman X4.

After a few days later i started to play the game with X, and yes efective i heard the voice of all characters in japanese. But X Sound like the X from Megaman X5 (Like the voices on USA?) Same for Zero, the rest of the enemies they talk on Japoneses.

But anyways like i says, is pretty enough for me :GunfireRebornlove:
