Hello!

If you're like me, you enjoy your horror atmospheres crisp and dark, with the black levels being a nice deep black. But for some reason, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs has this weird blue tint which it adds to the game, under certain settings, which really detracts from the game's dark atmosphere.

The way I stumbled upon this was quite interesting. I was having some low framerate issues (averaging around 45 FPS) when I started playing around with the settings.

It turns out that having the SSAO's resolution to High is what adds the blue tint to the game.

This setting heavily taxes your system, so you may just gain a few FPS out of it while you're at it!

All you need to do to apply the fix is:

• From the main menu click on Options.
  
• In the menu that appears, click on the Graphics tab.
  
• At the bottom right of that menu click on the Advanced Options button.
  
• Under the menu that appears, scroll down to the SSAO section.
  
• Ensure the Resolution of the SSAO is set to Medium.
  
• Click on the OK button at the bottom right.
  
• On the pop-up that appears click on the OK button.
  
• Restart your game for changes to take affect.
  
• You should now hopefully not have the blue tint in-game!
