Star'Shoot - Advice for dealing with the fire rate bug
由 Winter 和其他 2 人合作完成
If you've encountered the bug in Star'Shoot where the screen suddenly gets filled to bullets, then I got some good news.

The good news is I'm 90% certain I know the cause of it, and that's being related to lag. I've done tests by running intensive applications in the background and playing the game, this caused this bug to occur much more often. But when I close all intensive applications and play the game, the bug would not occur 95% of the time I'm playing it.

So here's some advice and tips I've got to minimize the amount of lag you'll encounter in the game, which will also hopefully prevent you from having this glitch happen to you.

1. Close all intensive applications you may have open (Such as Google Chrome, Editing software & other applications which may use a lot of resources), if the glitch still occurs then try closing all the applications you currently are not using.

2. Try avoiding using the bullet gun, when this gun has a lot of fire rate a ton of projectiles will be shot out each second which might cause the game to lag. I have noticed when I shoot with this gun when it has a lot of fire rate that my game's performance drops (The game slows down around like 20%) but when I stop shooting with the gun my game's performance would go back to normal. I'd suggest using the rocket launcher, from my experience that seems to be the least intensive weapon the game has to offer.

3. When the game starts lagging and you start noticing changes in the enemies fire rate. Pause the game and tab out, open up task manager and check the cpu and memory usage. When the cpu and memory usage is back at normal (In this case I'd say below 50-60%), tab back into the game and unpause it. This tactic usually has like a 50/50 chance of working, if this tactic works your game will go back to normal performance.

4. Try avoiding upgrading your fire rate too high, the more fire rate your weapon has the faster it will be shooting, which means more resources will be used on your computer. This could be a possibility of why you may be experiencing lag, it is unfortunate that you will have to limit the power you could use to upgrade your ship. But this will help the game in staying at it's normal performance, I'd suggest keeping your fire rate at 2-3 at max. Though this varies from weapon to weapon

5. In the case that none of these tactics work I'd suggest getting the 'one up' power up from the shop along with the item that 'clears all enemies on screen' when your ship gets destroyed. The one up will allow you to get an additional life point and the other item I've mentioned will completely clean the screen when you lose a life point, this will remove all the lag on your screen and will hopefully allow you to continue with your play-through.

Note: I want to clarify that don't think the developers are lazy and haven't noticed this, they're working very hard on trying to fix this problem. I've personally talked to them myself and I can give you my word when I say that this is on the top of their priorities, soon the bug should hopefully be fixed. In the mean time try following these suggestions I've listed to hopefully allow you to avoid encountering lag along with the fire rate bug.
