- Marksman: I don't get the animosity against marksmen in this game. Most rounds are actually decided by tickets, and a good marksman easily takes 30-50 of those off the opposing team in a round. My personal record is 73 kills and 85 wounds with the marksman rifle in a single round. With two proficient marksmen that's usually at least 60 and up to 150 Tickets. Most rounds are decided by smaller margins. Also, having a decent marksman covering your approach from your back is 10x more valuable than an AT hunting for tanks when you approach the cap with your squad. Killing tanks is mainly the job of your own tank boys since the heavies are hard to kill with infantry AT weapons anyway. So in my opinion: DO lockdown the marksman class right away and get good at it. You'll do almost as much for your team as the sapper who's hunting the enemy mobile spawns and FOBs.
- As a squad lead, I don't like coordinates (unless something on a far flung part of the map has to be marked). I prefer directions like "200 m NE of cap/MSP/rally" or "100 m south of SL/Sapper/Marksman", basically directions and distances in reference to an object I can quickly find on the map (SL/sapper/marksman/AT/radio all have their own symbols on the map that I can easily find). Makes marking much more efficient for me personally.
Bought the game before my headphones arrived.( Ripped the cord out of my first set due to such a short cord.) Haven't had the chance to play yet as I want to have comms...but darn it I want to play too!
But no! No, no. I will fight the urge...or go in to training and learn the weapons...
Also when wounded be sure to nag to be revived, tell everyone in your squad there are enemies on your body as if they have been tracking you the whole time on the map, and to just give as much useless info in general over voice chat whenever possible.
