Arkgnein State: Defender Patrol Craft

Cheaply constructed, poorly armed, and completely unarmored, the Defender serves the Arkgnein navy by defending civilians from casual piracy in the various Kuiper belt objects claimed by Arkgnein interests outside of the Pluto Planetary system.

Its role is aided by the most generous stock of Delta V supplied to any dedicated warship in the Arkgnein fleet, and Its guns, typically reserved for Point-defense duties on larger ships, are expected to out-range anything posessed by the generally under-equipped piratical elements of the solar system by several orders of magnitude.

Outside of its role in protecting civilian trade and industry captains, it is a bit contentious among them within the governmental halls of the state itself, as technically speaking, the fact that its organizational Marking band does not cover at least 25% of the ship's hull goes against Civil regulation. A stipulation many organizations would love to take advantage of, citing a pathetically marginal reduction in fuel-consumption for their private craft.
