Star Trek: Miranda (Refit)

Starfleet's trusty workhorse, the Miranda class light cruiser, now available for all your Avorion needs.

My favorite Star Trek ship had some solid TOS builds for Avorion, but I couldn't find a good Refit version, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. This is my first fan build, and only my fourth ship ever that wasn't a starter iron blob, so there was a lot of learning involved in building this. Finally finished after about a month of on-and-off building.

Stats at a glance:
- 8 slot midgame ship
- ~3500 blocks
- 120k HP, 76k shields
- 80m/s² acceleration / 950m/s max velocity
- Fore and Aft Torpedo Launchers
- Rear Hangers
- Costs 175k Trinium and 5,800 Iron
- There's some spare room in the nose of the saucer

Post 2.0 Notes:
- This is a pre-1.0 build. It should still work in 2.0, but is unlikely to be a peak performer.
- It's an old thruster-reliant build, rather than dampers/gyros. It won't handle as well, but can strafe and reverse.
- Does not use block stacking/overlapping. There is some slight overlap, but it should be within the 30% limit.
