There is a limit to the stability you can achieve from weight distribution.

Downforce can be added to a vehicle by clipping plane flaps into your build (preferably the 2x4 bricks)- Placing them above your axles is the most effective way of doing this.

Set their mode to "Always On", and the input scale to -1. You can tweak them from there.


if they look like this, you did it right.

(For the alternative blue method, keep the input scale at positive 1.)

More downforce in front: More oversteer
More downforce in rear: More understeer (this is preferred for stability)

You can tweak the amount of downforce on a flap by increasing or decreasing the max angle (or min angle for the blue method).

The more downforce you have, the less likely your car is to flip over while cornering.


Remember, when using fixed downforce, cornering ability is inversely proportional to the car's stability!
