Beskrivelse
Basic Info

This is a set of Plopable Asphalt based cement slabs for airport ramps, taxiways, and runways. The assets are 16mx16m props, similar to Ronyx69's concrete dock surface.
The assets come with and without corrugated cuts (for water runoff and increased traction). There are three color sets, an unlabeled light gray, a gray set (containing 4 slight color variations), and a tan set (containing 4 slight color variations), for a total of 18 assets.

Performance

Each asset contains 3 tris (2 for the surface and 1 for LOD forcing), and a 2 tri LOD. They all share the same 1024x1024 specular, color, illumination, alpha maps (for the ACI road shader), as well as similar 128x128 LOD textures. All of the corrugated sets share the same normal map (1024x1024), and the non-corrugated ones share another normal map (1024x1024). Each asset does, however, have its own diffuse texture (1024x1024 and 128x128 for LOD).

Contents

All of the assets can be found in the same menu as the pedestrian path, and are named Pavement<name>, where <name> is listed below.
  • BlockCor - The light gray corrugated slab.
  • BlockCorG[1-4] - The gray color set containing 4 variations from lightest (1) to darkest (4).
  • BlockCorT[1-4] - The tan color set containing 4 variations from lightest (1) to darkest (4).
  • Block - The light gray non-corrugated slab.
  • BlockG[1-4] - The gray color set containing 4 variations from lightest (1) to darkest (4).
  • BlockT[1-4] - The tan color set containing 4 variations from lightest (1) to darkest (4).

Placement Notes
- These assets are set with a height of 3cm and an LOD of 4cm, which should allow for ploppable asphalt to appear above it.
- Since these assets use the road shader, decals can be applied.
- I recommend using the moveit mod with propsnapping to carefully position the slabs. Note that they will be annoying to align, even more so if you are using the precision prop placement mod.
- If one of my network lines is used ontop of these assets, I recommend raising the nodes using pg-up (requires moveit and propsnapping), so that more of the line is visible.

Only a few of these will crash my game when I select them in Find It!, even if I don't plop it

@The L Train I did think about it, however, they are a bit too bright to be used for green taxi-way lights.

have you thought about reworking the pvnet self illumination networks after the addition of native green light support?

@asaphx it’s several assets, check to make sure they are enabled in your asset manager.

i subscribed to this asset but i can't even see it on the loading screen mod, or maybe i'm not looking for the right asset?

@vasimr22 I don't think it would be to repetative, depends on how you plop them, and that is true of the ones we have aswell if you're covering a larger area with them. I just got the idea after looking at the chaos that is Frankfurt airport with every size of slab possible. But I see your point with the 45º ones
