Everytime i watch a video about a series or movie i watched a long time ago, or hear the soundtrack of said series or movie, it always brings me that kind of nostalgic feeling; but with Love Live feels different...

Today while i was watching a video about the "evolution" of Love Live i had that feeling i was talking about before... but as i said, it felt like something stronger, to the point of almost making me cry.


You know... i still remember how and when i started watching Love Live. It was a cloudy morning of June of 2016, i got a DM from a friend who, for the 10th time probably, told me to watch the anime, and since i had just finished another anime, i decided why not, it had been on my 2-watch-list for maybe half a year already. Well... i watched the first season and finished it the same day, same with the second season... and the movie...yup, i fell totally in love with the series.
Then some months after came the spin-off, Love Live Sunshine and well, i watched it while it was airing. Even though at first i didn't feel really connected to any of the girls, after a while i started liking them little by little.



But, why does this anime means so much for me? Well, it isn't the anime alone that makes me cry or feel nostalgic till this day, it's the memories that come after watching scenes or listening to the songs or just seeing their characters interacting. I met some of my best friends thanks to this anime, this community has helped me lot of times with my irl problems, i found many people i can look up to, Emitsun for example... I love her a lot...
Even after a lot of bad things happened to her, she kept going forward and doing what she loves the most, and i found that amazing; and also her smile might have something to do why i like her a lot as well.


But, one of the main reasons why i love this anime so much, is because of my best girl, Honoka.
Why is she my best girl you may ask... well, it's hard to explain, but i will try my best to explain it... She had my dreamed personality... outgoing, seeing the good side of everything, someone who tries always her best... she is what i would like to become... and not only that, but her eyes... i lose myself everytime i see those blue eyes

Now... i would like to go on saying a lot more things about this, but all you need to know is that i'm really grateful i watched this anime and i don't think i will ever regret watching it.

Uh... you really should have watched the end of Season 2 for LL Sunshine. It is really good actually and it DOES NOT go perfectly for the girls of Aqours like you think it does. I think it exceeds the quality of SIP tbh... I mean just look at the CG LOL. Everything about Aqours is better, including the music and the dances. I used to be a hater of Aqours too saying it was a garbage spin off of SIF but after watching Season 2 I changed my mind and even like Aqours better than muse now

One thing I have to say though is that I could not get into Sunshine, no matter how much I tried. It felt to me like it was a rehash of SIP but with the important stuff swapped around - episode 3 is a great example. In SIP it doesn't go well, in Sunshine it turns out perfectly. The whole plot of Sunshine is filled with recurring elements of SIP but reversed like this, and it started getting predictable and boring for me by the end of season 1.

I watched the first two episodes of season 2 and then decided to stop because I could tell how it was going to develop and simply wasn't enjoying it. I don't think Sunshine is bad, but I don't think it holds up to the quality of SIP.

I had pretty much the same experience over a year ago, I found out about it from SiIvaGunner and eventually decided to watch it out of curiosity. Cut to a couple days later and I'd watched the entire show, plus the movie. Since then I've rewatched it a couple times and bought both seasons on Steam, and I can't fully explain why I love it so much.

Also Honoka is pretty good, but Maki is my favourite because I have a similar personality and similar role in the various groups I've been involved in over the last couple years (not music composition per se, but that has come up once or twice).
