Introduction + Incoming updates
I have been waiting for Floor Kids to get on Steam for a long time! I'm a big fan of rhythm games, and we sadly don't get a lot of them on PC, let alone at all. I love the Montreal indie scene, and I'm very happy the Floor Kids devs are part of this great family!

I'll improve the guide very soon by adding more pictures, giving the actual names of the combo instead of just describing them, and clarify things as I get feedback. Also, I plan on working on another guide in which I focus more on the techniques and how to get better at this game, because I don't want it to take up too much space in this guide as it should be about achievements!

This is my first guide, any comment is welcomed, and I hope this will be useful to you!
General Tips
Although most of it is explained pretty well in the in-game tutorial, here are some basic tips to get started in the game and to understand the rest of this guide. It goes a bit beyond what's shown in the game, so look at it just in case!

Dance Moves Categories:
-Toprock: You start every song in this state. If you're doing a move from any of the other category, press up to get back to Toprock moves.

-Downrock: Those are the moves you'll do after pressing down.

When your in position for toprock or downrock moves, pressing any button (A, B, X or Y on an Xbox controller) will make you do a dance move. Try them all and explore your style!

-Freeze: You hold a direction (up, down, left, right) as well as the corresponding button (for example, Y would correspond to up). Beware, you cannot hold it forever!

-Power: Power moves are made by spinning the left joystick clockwise or anticlockwise. You make different power moves by also pressing R at the same time.

Hopping
When you're freezing, pressing both L and R at the same time will make your character hops! Do it and get fly points! A very important technique: it's necessary for several achiements!

Posing
Another fun technique you'll need to get some achievements is the posing. When you're doing either toprock or downrock moves, hold L AND R to make a pose! That's it!
All Crowns + Keepin It 100,000
Ten achievements are about getting all the crowns (be it in a routine or a venue), and there's one about getting over 100k points on a song. Basically, performing well and getting a great score is essential in your quest for 100% achievements.

So, how do you achieve that exactly? Here's my tried-and-true method for getting every crown. I'm not the best Floor Kids player, and there are certainly ways to get a higher score, but this is fairly easy to execute.

Bizzy is my strongest character, so this is the one I'll use for the explanations, but this would work exactly the same with any character as long as you get to learn their combos (you can do that in the Infinite Play mode that you can find in the Extras. It's fun to get to know a character yourself, I recommend doing it!).

This will be pretty detailed, so if you want the short version, here it is:
-Do all your combos (Bizzy's combos are in bold in the text so you can find them easily).
-Do the remaining moves (they're not all used in a combo).
-Do every moves the crowd requests!
-Do hops and poses on as many moves as you can!
-Extra: Check what's your character's strenght (for example, Bizzy is better at Downrocks and gets extra points when doing those!), and use it when you've already done every moves possible!

I start with a signature combo of hers: Freeze down, Freeze left, Freeze up! Try also hopping as you do them for some extra points!

I then do the Toprock + B move, as a crowd's request should come soon and this move is not used in any combo.

They just ask about a broad category (toprock, freeze, etc.), so do anything that inspires you.

After that, I do another combo: Spin the joystick anticlockwise, then anticlockwise + R, then clockwise + R. If you can, try to do a strobe on that last one (we'll cover strobes in the related achievements!).

You should then have time for one or two other moves: do either toprock + Y or downrock + B, or both (again, those moves are not used in a combo).

Then it's the first chorus: good luck!

We still have one freeze move to do: Freeze right! You don't have to worry about this category anymore (except if the crowd requests it, obviously).

It's time for another combo! It's as follow: Toprock A, then downrock A, and downrock Y.

You can do any dance move or move on right to the last combo: Top rock X, Freeze down, downrock X, spinning the joystick clockwise. You can do whatever you want in the time remaining!

I know it's a lot of steps to memorize, but it gets a lot easier once you actually know the combos. Also, don't hesitate to just use this "choreography" as merely an inspiration to do your own! I myself don't always do it in this precise order, but I just keep in mind what combos and moves I have left to do.
Crowd is Lit
This one is pretty easy: play a routine, don't try too hard to perform well, and as soon as you see a request from the crowd, do it!

The requests will look as follow:
Move Cards
It cannot get much easier than that: as soon as you unlock a new character, use them in a level and try all their move. You can just start by doing all moves from one category and then move to the next one, as to not forget any of them. Worst-case scenario: you'll forget a move or two, and you'll just do it again!
Mash Master Flash
The description of this achievement is pretty self-explanatory. I can give you two advices: firstly, the line on the bottom might surprise you and come faster than you'd expect, so anticipate it; secondly, a trick to mash the buttons is to put your thumb in the middle of the four buttons and wiggle it.

Fly Recognize Fly
You'll have to perform three basic techniques in the same song to unlock this achievement: hop, reversal and pose. The hops and poses are described in the General Tips: as for the reversal, it's a technique that requires you to move the joystick left and right (to the beat) while doing a toprock or downrock move. Nothing too crazy, you just need to know what those are!
Flow So Untouchable
You have to do all 4 combos of a character to unlock this one. You can refer yourself to the bold words in the Crowns and Keepin It 100,000 section to know Bizzy's combos, but like I already said, I really recommend taking one character and figuring out their combo on your own. It's not that hard, and it's pretty rewarding!
All Hops City + The Poser
Tip: Playing in infinite mode counts as one dance routine, so you can get both of these achievements very easily by playing that mode!

All Hops City: Perform 50 Hops in one dance routine
The Poser: Do 100 holds and poses in one dance routine

As you can see, both of these achievements are pretty easy if you focus on one of them in a routine. Again, refer yourself to the General Tips section, and you should do fine.
The Strombo Strobe Combo + Mega Strobe Master
A cool and kinda secret technique from Floor Kids is the strobe! You have to do a power move (spin your joystick) as fast as possible, and when stars come out of your character, click on the left stick and keep clicking on it! Do it as long as possible to unlock the Mega Strobe Master achievement!

As for the Strombo Strobe Combo, an easy way to get it is to take Bizzy, move the joystick anticlockwise, then anticlockwise + R, then clockwise + R (and do a strobe on this one last move!).

Kid Koala, the composer of the game, did a short tutorial to explain this technique.
Fresh Flavor Forever
This is probably the trickiest achievement!

When you finish a song, you can see how much you've scored in all five criterias (funk, flavor, flow, fire and fly). You can break it down even more to see what you've done in each category. The one that interests us here is the flavor one.
The "New Move Bonuses" can be a misleading name, but it's basically a category for every different move you do (if you do all of your 16 character's moves, then you're all set for this).

Other than that, here is how you check every item from the list and get your achievement:
-Hold: Press L OR R when doing a toprock or downrock move.
-Pose: Press L+R when doind a toprock or downrock move (visually, it seems identical to hold to me, so if anyone knows what the difference is, please tell me!)
-Hop: Press L+R when freezing
-Reversal: Move the joystick left and right when doing a toprock or downrock move.
-Taunt: Press any button right after a rhythm phase.
-Power speed-up: Spin the joystick really fast! You know you've done it once there are stars.
-Flip: When doing a toprock move, move your joystick upward.
-Power Strobe: When doing a power speed-up, click on the joystick!

That's quite a lot of things to do and to memorize, but once you know how to do all those things, you'll get total freedom on your routines!
Funky Fantastic + The Whole Crew Fresh & Brand New
I'll be honest with you: there's not really an easy way of getting the Funky Fantastic achievement. You just gotta practice, preferably on the same song so that you master it, and work on your sense of rhythm.

As for the last achievement, The Whole Crew Fresh & Brand New, you simply get it by unlocking all the characters in the campaign. There used to be a glitch that prevented some of us to unlock it (such as myself!), but we let the devs know about it and they fixed it in a patch! Yay devs!
It worked for me, but if anyone encounters that bug again, feel free to let them know on this thread!

"a trick to mash the buttons is to put your thumb in the middle of the four buttons and wiggle it"
For me it's easier to hit A and RT + LT.

Fair!

I wanted to play it with a friend, actually - the reason why I bought it is because a friend had it and it had both the "Multiplayer" and "Local Multiplayer" tags on Steam.

But the online multiplayer is nonexistent and by the time I'd discovered that it was already too late to refund.

The focus of the game is the multiplayer, and if you like it and play it a lot with friends, it brings you a lot more than 2 hours of enjoyment. I think they based their price tag on that rather than the time to 100% it.

Awesome. A game that takes 2 hours to 100% but can't even do that because of glitched achievements.

Sold for $20.
