📯 This mod is compatible with 1.35.* EU4.
⚠️ Ignore the EU4 launcher warning you about this mod being outdated. Enhanced Borders only changes few image files and this mod will work just fine unless Paradox changes how borders are drawn.



Ever wondered why vanila borders felt so bland and out of place?
Ever wanted to replace the ugly black line separating states that stood out so much?

Enhanced Borders is a brand new mod that adresses these issues. Vanila border textures were replaced by better counterparts from ASBSM and MEIOU 2.





After playing with this mod for few days I have decided to upload it to the workshop. I'm not a fan of the bland look of the vanila game, and I always play the game with several graphical mods enabled. While the game certainly has its age and could look far better, limits of the mods dedicated to EU4 have their effect. Nevertheless I find this mod really pleasant and refreshing.

This mod was heavily inspired by spyda47's work -
A Simple Map Borders Mod. I encourage you to check it out!

@Oorestis The one which informs you that the mod was made for an older version of the game. Besides, do you mean by the borders being bugged?

what warning icon on launcher? I enabled your mod with the warning icon and i ignored it, and i started a new campaign and the borders were bugged.

Ok well that's good to know. I've had some things break even if it should technically work with other mods, but I'm glad to know I can just use it and ignore the warning.

@The White General Nope, because this mod works fine with all game versions and will most probably be updated only if enough people convince me that having an alert icon from the launcher removed is a good-enough reason for that

Enhanced Borders has been updated for 1.28.x version of the game!
No changes to the mod files has been made. Enjoy!

Eh, fine. Please take note that Ad Lucem is not available in Workshop as of now, its latest version was made for 1.17. Author improves this mod currently and might release it fairly soon.

What mods did you use in the thumbnails?
