General Settings

• Don't use what other people use. Your body was made for you. Try finding your own settings that feel comfortable.

Launch Options
Launch Options are commonly used for automatically setting certain options once the game is started. Here are some of them that you might use.

-novid
Turns off the Valve intro when starting up the game. Saves a couple of seconds and some annoyance.

-fullscreen
Makes sure the game is started in fullscreen mode.

-windowed
Makes sure the game is started in windowed mode.

-noborder
Removes the border at the top of the screen in windowed mode.

-w NUMBER
-h NUMBER
Makes the game the exact resolution in pixels you fill in.

Aim Tips
There are a lot of ways to improve at aiming in CS:GO. Here are some tips.

• ALWAYS aim where you think the enemy's head will be when you peek. This will ensure that all you have to do is flick left or right, never up or down. They will sometimes even simply walk into your crosshair with this method, making the aiming way easier.
  
• You can use maps to improve flicking in the case of an unexpected ambush. A good example of these maps is aim_botz. You can subscribe to it in the Community Workshop.
  
• ALWAYS stand still whilst firing. This will take a while to get used to but it will pay off. This will ensure that all of your bullets land where they are supposed to.
  
• Try pre-aiming as many corners as possible when walking around. This will require some map knowledge however, so try loading up a map and pre-aiming all corners when walking into a site.
  
• Try warming up before joining a competitive game so that you are playing at the best of your abilities.

Gamesense is the awareness of your surroundings that is present in any other strategic game like CS:GO. It will make you able to predict what will happen next. It is a powerfull tool when used in clutching situations such as 1v3's.

It's really simple. Just play a lot of competitive. Eventually through experience you'll be able to predict where your enemies will peek.

A lot of players are really toxic wich can be a big issue for you and your team. Here's some tips to deal with it.

Tips for dealing with Toxicity

• Try to ignore it. Fighting back will only increase the annoyance.
  
• If ignoring it doesn't help, just mute him. There is nothing else you can do at that point and they're probably more of a problem than an assistance at that point.
