[MOD] Button Prompts - Switch Pro Controller
Description
Long time Nintendo fans might be painfully aware of the swapped button letters on the Xbox controllers. This creates a lot of confusion and frustrations many times.

That's why I decided to create this mod which swaps the button lettering to match the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller instead!

Installing
Download and extract this to your steamapps\common\NieRAutomata\ directory:
http://phaaxgames.com/files/NASwitchProCMod.zip

Uninstalling
Just remove the extracted files and directories. If you don't have any other mods installed you can safely delete the steamapps\common\NieRAutomata\data\ui directory and its contents.

Notes
  • I won't provide any guarantees that this will work for you. Think before you make any changes to your game!
  • I didn't bother changing any other buttons such as the "back" button. :)

@sfried You'll need a tool called DTT2DDS ( which you can find here ).

DDS files can be opened and edited with Paint.Net for example. Then use DTT2DDS to convert the DDS textures back to DTT. If I remember correctly then the files must be smaller or equal in size to the original files.

It was quite a while ago since I did this, so I can't help you much. Good luck!

Hmm, I was wondering if I could help mod the rest of the other buttons myself? I'm not sure what tools you used to achieve this, though.

My bad: The bottom "triggers" would've been called "ZL" and "ZR".

Nice mod! However the shoulder buttons are still labeled "LT" and "RT" when it should be "LZ" and "RZ" (with "LB" and "RB" simply being labeled "L" and "R").

Back can still be refered to as "Select" (Sony copied from the Super Nintendo after all), or can be labeled "-" with Start being "+"
