provinces: 55 land and 81 sea

A thousand seas with a thousand islands. This map is specifically designed for a full set of UW nations. Any land nations are recommend to have at least some native amphibious capabilities. Included are two versions, a smaller for about 6 players and a larger one for about 10 players. The larger one should be able to play with a nation or two with limited to no native amphibious capabilities. But it's not recommended and might not be completely balanced.

It has 56 + 80UW provinces and 9-11 players.

As I said certain connections are treated as river connections. Maps can't give special abilities to land nations.

I really like the cave network: they surprised me. :)
Do land nations get a pass on river connections? The ones I saw didn't have swimming or sailing.

Some islands are treated like river connections and several of the caves are connected under water essentially.

Great map: really fills a need to make UW nations fun.
I notice that land nations hop the water gaps; is that a characteristic of the map? Or just AI cheating in frustration?

Digital oilpainting actually but the bottom base blue layer was done with a bit to thick heavy brush. Thus those lines kinda goes through whatever I painted afterwards. But it's 100% done with a brush, not a filter.

It's not water color, it's an oil paint effect, probably added after the fact (for intrinsic aesthetic effect, rather than as a byproduct of the process) considering how the brush strokes look although some of that could be from a glaze.
