Speedrun Achievement Route

I decided to make a route that included as many power ups that were near the quickest path from boss to boss to allow for the most power/safety throughout the run without sacrificing the sub-hour goal that the Speedrun Achievement requires. I just ran the route and ended with over 10 minutes to spare; I even made a number of mistakes along the way (a few deaths here and there, especially on bosses).

I just ran the route and ended with over 10 minutes to spare; I even made a number of mistakes along the way (a few deaths here and there, especially on bosses).

At the end, you should have 9 Gun Upgrades (G1-G9) and 8 Health Upgrades (H1-H8)

Tested the method where you alter date and hour on the PC, worked fine for the achievment

Awesome guide, just got the achievement. Quick tip: In the third to last level (2) you can pick up a health upgrade if you jump through the wall where you're supposed to boost up.

Correct, you do not need to get 100% for the achievement. I'm glad you found the guide helpful!

Do I need open 100% map for this achievment?

I'm not sure. Unfortunately the save file doesn't list the time played. Since I have the achievement, I can't test it out, either.

However, there is a cheat on the PS4/PSV version where, right before the final boss, you set your console time to just after you started the game so that it looks like you beat it in under an hour. This seems to indicate, at least for the PS version, that the achievement is based on real time.

It would probably be safe to assume that the Steam version also goes by real time, but I don't know for sure.

Does time in the pause screen count towards IGT?
