THIS SCENARIO CAN BE FOUND IN "THE WEST"

The SimRE project aims to make Railway Empire feel more like a simulation by slowing down the trains, opening up all technologies and making adjustments in various other areas.

Scenarios released so far
- SimRE: Great Plains
- SimRE: Rocky Mountains
- SimRE: The West
- SimRE: East Coast (new)
- SimRE: Texas (new)

Main features
- Trains run 40% slower
- All tech is available

Balancing features
- The AI gets a 50% bonus on their starting cash
- Early engines have been reduced in price, later engines increased
- Almost 100 tech bonuses nerved, especially ones with a financial bonus

I know this is an old change that was posted. But a couple of comments. I was trying it and the mod seems to be incomplete. There are no tasks listed. Are we supposed to remember the tasks from the original campaign? Also this is set in 1830 instead of starting about 1860. So not the right engines to handle the mountains. Wish we could modify the start date.

Out of curiosity; does this just make the trains slower; or does it slow resource consumption too? I have trouble getting cities beyond size 6 in realistic mode.

OK new to steam this was just the only way I found to make a comment . Forgive the error. I did find a way to make the A.I. not so much of a problem. And I assume others have also.

Looking at the game's scores, I think the vast majority of people are enjoying the game just fine. If you're hoping a dev will read your thoughts though, I would try the main discussions group. There's really not anything a modder can do along the lines of what you are looking for.

As it stands now the game is not enjoyable. I look at what is intended for fixes and A.I. is the last thing they are thinking about fixing but that should be first. Because adding exter maps and other thing in the game does nothing for the way the game plays.

Hi TheToker - no, modders do not have access to the AI at this time, and I doubt modders will ever be able to add multiplayer to the game. ;)

I have a request. when I got this game I expected it to be a real time simulation (ie railroad tycoon 1, 2 and 3). Can you fix the problem with the A.I.? You have made it realistic for the human player but the A.I. can have trains running thur each other so they never have to stop, and I assum they never brake down. In the late stages of the game the computer can run 3 times as many trains because of this. If you can't do that then please work on making it mulitplayers so all players have the same disavantage.

Two new SimRE scenarios added today. Check them out as part of the collection or find them in the Steam Workshop.
