I bought this game at discount season of 2017. So that I cannot remember what exactly happened when I executed this game for the very first time. I didn't care about it anyway back then. Why I'm telling this? It's because it seems that this have strong bond with the bug.

So that I tried this game, I visited the nightmare level first, even before riding the cable car. I checked the achievement unlock popup, and kept on playing. Infiltrate to the castle Wolfenstein, pipes, and riding boats in the canal.

And I suddenly realized, count of achievements were insufficient than I expected.. It was supposed to be unlocked like three or four more achievements than I've already got. I tracked back, and realized that no story achievements were unlocked.

That's when I started for looking the solution. But since the game has released, no one suggested me the clear answers. Someone was broken with nightmare level achievements. Someone was annoyed with not unlocking story achievements, like me. Even someone, whole achievement system were broken. But sadly, no one seems fixed it. So, I burried deeply down this game, hoping someone brings solution that working.

And the new years come! It's 2018! But my game was still broken. I was pretty annoyed, but, and also therefore, through my rough and rogue tries, one worked. So I present you this solution, with deep hope for you to enjoy this shining piece.

Before we start.

-If you want to try this solution, you have to abandon all your current progress of your game. I'm not sure that would work if you backup the save files and take it out after you try this solution. But I strongly recommend not to use the old backups if my solution worked. With my guess, that will cancel the solution and being broken again.


How it Works.

- I guess that the problem happens in the profile file(, or save files).So we'll completely take out the broken one, and make a new one.



Steps.

1. Disable your save file cloud.
You don't have to disable the whole cloud, of course. Just turn off this one. Don't Worry, this won't effect to the other games.

1-1. Right click on this game - Wolfenstein: The Old Blood on the library list.
1-2. Click on "Properties"
1-3. Click on the "Update" Tab
1-4. Uncheck the check box of Steam Cloud Section.

=> 21.07.17. Not sure about since when, but the individually turning off the steam save data cloud has been disabled now. You still may turn off the cloud but this will affect your whole library. If you feel uncomfortable, I think you can skip this. If this works, then your cloud 'will be synchronized' with your local data, not "will synchronize' it.


(Optional) A. Delete the whole game and reinstall.
I'm not sure this would affect to the result, but I did it when my solution worked. So, you may try. If you don't want to, then just skip.



2. Delete your Profile files and Save files.
This is the key point of this solution. I wrote as Profile files and save files, but we'll delete the whole preset files.

2-1. Find the files.
These files are not contained in the steamapps files. Instead, These are stored in %Username& folers. Usually, they can be found at \%Username%\Saved Games\MachineGames\Wolfenstein The Old Blood\
2-2. Delete all the files in this directory.
I'm not sure you may delete the directories, too. So I just deleted files. Here's the list of files.
\Wolfenstein The Old Blood\base\qconsole.log
\Wolfenstein The Old Blood\base\wolftobConfig.cfg
\Wolfenstein The Old Blood\base\savegame\profile.bin
\Wolfenstein The Old Blood\base\savegame\SLOT#\#.#
For the guys who cannot understand the last one, As you know we have three save slots and therefore, slot folders can be existed for maximum 3. I deleted the whole save slot folder this time.
2-99. An error
For me, Error has been popped up that cannot delete the foler(directory) because of lack of authority. So I just left it there.But this solution was still working.


3. Check the result.
For me, an error occured when re-run this game for the first time after the deletion. An error popup with a blue log box. But I quit the popup and retry to run it once more, it worked well.

For Story achievement : On the prologue mission, German Alps, as soon as the cable car arrive at the castle and open the door for you to take off, the achievement will be unlocked.
For Nightmare level achievement : On the prologue mission, German Alps, After you pass the entry gate and engage with Rudi Jaeger, Don't go into the elevator straight, but turn right and stick to the wall, check the closed gate counter. You'll find a key. Now you may take the elevator. When you get off from the elevator, go right instead of getting into the cable car. You'll see a door made out of black iron poles. You'll may open it with the key you previously obtained. You'll see a staircase heading down. Follow it, and at the left, there's a mattress for nightmare level. Try to clear it, and check the achievements popup.
These ones are unlocked when you clear the level, come back to the reality, and will be unlocked shortly when the save progress is over.
For Challenge achievement : Well, what did you expect? Try to beat the first level as fast as you can and try to get a gold medal of first challenge
For Collectible, Difficulty achievement : Well, same. there is no quick check.
For Perk achievement : Still same, but I recommend you to try with Health or Armor perks. These ones are easily obtained at the very first combat area.


9. After all of this
I also guess that this coincidence could happen again. So I think this would worth try once more when you fail the first try.

And yes. After all this years even Wolfenstein 2 is released, we're still on this game, whatever the reason is. I hope you enjoy this as your way. For me, it's gonna me 100% achievement unlock with the last achievement would be Ueber Hero.
