This is a guide of Custom Characters for people to play and tinker with.

This chapter is a collection of Tags I'll put on the characters for ease of access via the Ctrl F Search menu.

LowC: This tag is for classes with a lower Destruction/Kill count, with stealthy or nonviolent gameplay.
Base Game examples: Doctor, Thief, Cop, Comedian.

MidC: This tag is for average classes that you don't have to work hard to cause mass destruction.
Base Game examples: Soldier, Scientist, Assassin, Slum Dweller.

HighC: This tag is for the classes with a very high chaos rating. Destruction and death is very much plentiful.
Base Game examples: Zombie, Jock, Gorilla

Description: Basically a more melee focused gangster with an expensive but lethal ranged option. Save your Killer Thrower for a special occasion and try and keep your bat in good shape.




The Hypnotist: (LowC) (MidC)

Context: A manipulator of mind who makes people do his job for him.

Special Ability: Enslave

Description: A take on the Slavemaster who can’t fight back if his slave revolts. Do note The Hypnotist can only heal off alcohol and first aid kits. So give all food to your slaves and try to keep them alive before dismissing them. Many human objectives are much more cooperative when they have an explosive helmet on them.



Plague Rat: (MidC HighC)

Description: The Plague Rat is about trying to maneuver in and take advantage of the moving hazard of people and zombies you make for yourself it’s better to go after weak targets first and lead any armed hostiles to your zombie hoard. Make full use of the Food Processor and you’ll feel like a real filthy vermin who eats guns, rocks, and anything else you can get your paws on!



The Politician: (MidC) (RW)

Big Quest: Purveyor of Peace

Description: A randomish class that will make you very carefully decide when you open your mouth and when you don't. attacking a big crowd will lead to some kind of maddness



The Feedling: (MidC) (HighC)



“it’s early stage vampirism, think of it like the edgy teen stage for vampires”

Context: An ambitious Clerk who wanted to be a new class (Freezer Clerk) but was turned into a vampiric monster.

Description: This is one of the harder classes i’ve made. Almost always losing health and always ready to get more. A nice mix of sneaking and combat that requires more planning and careful play that has to be done on a time limit. Make use of the freeze gun and level ups for easy health.



The Vigilante (MidC) (HighC)

Description: Expect plenty of fighting when playing this class, it’s just going to happen. A violent brutal class that will simply satisfy your need for action.


The Gentlebot (MidC)



“This is an incredible work of robotics! whoever made this thing knew their stuff.”

Context: A sophisticated robot who engages it’s enemies with a bout of hydraulic fisticuffs.

Description: This class is fun, Plain and simple. Nothing will stand in your way, but don’t let it go to your head, you’re still mortal.



The Shroud (LowC)

Description: A real sneak build that will take a bit to get the hang of, but a joy to play all the same. Your playstyle will be based more heavily on what the game throws at you so be adaptive and pick your options wisely.

The “Servant” (LowC)



Whatever you do, don’t get near this guy unless you ABSOLUTELY have to. He gives me the creeps!

Context: A very.. outgoing individual on a (sub)mission of his own making.

Description: I don’t want to talk about the hows or whys of this class, he speaks (It’s muffled but still.) for himself. This guy is almost unstoppable! Just note that you will be almost incapable to dominate police effectively and be prepared for a very interesting time with this class.


The Engineer (MidC)



“Look, I know you wanted a real saboteur, but he’s the best we could get with a case of beer and a hiring voucher with a gold star on it.”

Description:
This class is full of options with lots of control over the level. Talk things out, set a trap, beat a person with a wrench. You can do almost anything.

The Juicer (MidC)



“He talks big, buys my stuff, and squirts it at random people. He’s my type of guy!”

Context: A motivational speaker, who uses drugs in a water gun to throw status effects on friend and foe.

Description: THE FUD EATS YOU NOW! It took me a while to get this right. It’s a little hard and a bit chaotic, but isn’t that what you want? Be sure to use primal lunge to chase fleeing NPC’s and always use the loadout vendors, random trinket station, and the cloning station.

Lampey’s Chosen (MidC)



“Trust me on this okay? This guy can get stuff done! He’s basically a godsend!”

Big Quest:

Description: I try to avoid darkening the general tone of SoR with my custom classes, but this just turned out to be a real interesting build. This is probably the hardest class I will make for this guide. It’s a tough balance of using your time, items, and money effectively.

Description: After trying to make a necromancer character for so long, I finally got this. Any allied zombies like gorillas or drug dealers will always have their shops open at reduced prices so be sure to use that all the time.

Description: The sell-o-matic is your friend providing you with income from your cocktails to try get funds to survive. It’s an oddly pedestrian character, but it can provide some fun if you like taking indirect action.

Description: I won’t lie, I made this character off a randomized appearance. And trying to make a character’s mechanics fit the look turned it into this. Blundering around, attracting friends and than backstabbing them is the playstyle of TOA.

The Lizard (High-C)

Description: If you’re the kind of player who hesitates using one use powerful items, you will die alot with this character. This character is a mix of knowing when to restrain yourself, and when to use stuff. A crisp challenge for the hesitant and the compulsive.

The Fury (High C)



“Real angry, raised by gorillas, and smells worse than the gorillas? Yea she can have whatever!”

This class is super easy to start but you need to keep your power for the difficulty wall higher floors. It’s best to only carry 2-3 items that cost ammo to get the most out of your gear.
