Designed after the sea fort of the same name, This base features a honeycombed core with 6 additional spawn and storage locations.

When raiders come into view of the base they come under gunfire by defenders inside the twin cupolas and on top of the parapet. The low height of the base reduces the effectiveness of raiders spreading their group out as they all remain on the same plain.

As the raiders close the distance and enter the blind space of the cupolas they will discover that the roof glacis which deters them from blowing into the outwork from ground level takes up the blind space of the parapet, Giving them nowhere to rest or ambush defenders on the parapet from below.

Trying to save sulfur the raiders will try and fight the defenders off the parapet, If they succeed they will be hard pressed to loot the bodies on the parapet because they would be completely exposed to gunfire from the cupolas and counterscarp galleries.

Raiders will then realize that the parapet alongside moat are deathtraps so they begin to raid the outwork from ground level in the blind space of the cupolas. This is good for the defenders because close quarters combat massively reduces the effectiveness of superior numbers, Meanwhile people in the cupolas can shoot into the counterscarp gallieries and remain in cover.

Once one whole side/corner of the counterscarp galleries have been completely cleared of defenders raiders may begin blowing into the central base without receiving crossfire. While the cupolas can't completely cover the inside of the moat with gunfire they can with grenades.

Based on proven fortification theories and history, This base would be an absolute nightmare to online raid even with significant number advantages over the defenders. Unless you put turrets on top of pillars mounted on the inside of the central ditch this base isn't very good for offline defense.

With the new addition of triangle hatches you could easily upgrade the cupolas to armored tier and include armored window bars behind the embrasures. Consider using vertical embrasures combined with armored window bars to offer you more protection in exchange for less vision.
