Getting up in the air
First thing you have to do is disengage the break by pressing 'W',

Then hold down the '+' key on the number pad until the guage on the right hand side of the dashboard hits about 80. ('+' and '-' are throttle controls).

After that, Press the '.' key on the numberpad (drop chaff) to start forward motion. Once you are rolling the arrow keys should get you up in the air.

Old 3.0 Manual:
This appears to be a PDF of the manual that came with the PC version of one of the later games. It was quite a reference work with charts and detailed controls. Most of the controls seem applicable to this version. It's useful given the limited amount of reading available for this game.

@dfsdfs3df1sdf321 Yeah thats the Amiga version. Good read. Amiga keyboard was slightly different from a PC, but that's where these images came from.

you dont know to hit the delete key on the numpad to start forward motion. Once you hold down the throttle key to get it to 100 the F16 will move forward and thn once it gets to a speed over 150 and before it gets to 200, take off
