Introduction


This is a mod for Eternal Senia v1.65, English version.
Other versions of the base game may not be compatible or work as intended.

Since the developer has seemingly stopped updating the game in favour of focusing on development for their sequel, I've decided to make my own changes to the game to address some of the issues I had.

Here are the main issues that I tried to fix:
  • Relatively poor English translation (this is understandable, as the developer is not a native English speaker)
  • Senia and Magaleta's sprites don't match the aesthetics of the rest of the RPGMaker assets
  • Several blurry sprites due to upscaling from 32x32 to 48x48

Hopefully, I've fixed most of these issues.
I've also included several bug fixes and quality of life changes.
With this mod, I hope to provide a better experience for English players.
Features & Changes
General changes & bug fixes:
  • Rewritten English script for improved grammar, idioms, etc
  • New sprites for Senia and Magaleta to better match their portraits and the aesthetics of RPGMaker assets
  • New screenshot images for the memories and ending scenes to reflect the new character sprites and rewritten English script
  • Fixed some formatting to prevent text from being covered by character portraits
  • Added cooldown timer for Eternity Burst
  • Removed gold display in crafting menu (there's no currency in this game, so it just showed "0 G")
  • New sprites for King monster variants to help further differentiate them from their normal counterparts (new sprites are also 64x64, instead of 48x48)
  • New text sprites for map and boss introductions
  • New sprite for critical hit frame
  • Changed skill-up message to show the name of the skill that was leveled
  • Fixed inconsistencies in credits text: "HolyPriest" -> "Holy Priest"
  • NON-CANON ALTERNATE ENDING? Find the Emperium Flower...

Items
  • Fixed typo on Weapon equipment slot: "Weapons" -> "Weapon"
  • Fixed typo on Accessory equipment slot: "Accesory" -> "Accessory"
  • Broken Sword's description is no longer cut off
  • Fixed capitalization: "Broken cross pendant" -> "Broken Cross Pendant"
  • Fixed name: "Book of Critical IIII" -> "Book of Critical III"

Tower of Eternity (Entry Floor)
  • Fixed untranslated message when trying to backtrack at the red carpet staircase
  • Fixed exits in first part of the outside area to make character face down
  • Fixed walking path in the first dragon encounter scene so that Senia doesn't walk through a pillar
  • Fixed untranslated message when trying to proceed before equipping the Warrior Armor
  • Fixed untranslated message when trying to open the door before pressing the switch in the boulder room
  • Cancelling from the teleporter menu just before the first boss should no longer start the boss fight

Forest of the Fairies
  • Removed floating crystal object at the bottom left corner in the forest entrance area
  • Canceling from the Weather Effect menu should no longer turn on the weather effect
  • Fixed acquiring Fine Wood message: "get wood" -> "Acquired [ICON] Fine Wood"
  • Fixed sprite for Snake Wizard's attack animation
  • Changed monster name: "Timberwolf" -> "Timber Wolf"
  • Changed monster name: "Arcane Timberwolf" -> "Arcane Timber Wolf"
  • Changed monster name: "King Snake" -> "Queen Snake"
  • Changed monster name: "King Green Dragon" -> "King Dragon"
  • Changed map location name: "Arcane Realm." -> "Arcane Realm"
  • Changed location name of the room where you acquire Splash Leap: "Inner Forest" -> "Arcane Realm"

Demon Frontier
  • Changed monster name: "Spell Caster" -> "Spellcaster"
  • Changed monster name: "Abyss Spell Caster" -> "Abyss Spellcaster"
  • Changed monster name: "Abyss Scopio" -> "Abyss Scorpio"
  • Changed monster name: "King Succubus" -> "Queen Succubus"
  • Changed map display name "Force Realm" -> "Abyss Realm" (to match the Abyss-prefixed enemies in the area)
  • Changed Bonus Room selection text on goddess statue: "Bonus Room." -> "Bonus Room"
    Fallen Sanctum

Fallen Sanctum
  • Fixed Angel Intern sprite artifacts
  • Fixed Senia's and Magaleta's Rooms so that they can't be seen at the bottom of the screen from the rooms outside
  • Fixed untranslated Senia's name when interacting with the Teddy Bear in Magaleta's room
  • Changed Bonus Room selection text on goddess statue: "Bonus Room." -> "Bonus Room"
  • Changed monster name: "Dark Angel King" -> "Dark Angel Queen"
  • Changed map display name "Sanctum Arcane Realm" -> "Hallowed Realm" (to parallel "Arcane Realm" in the Forest of Fairies, and "Abyss Realm" in the Demon Frontier)
  • Added map title intro text for Hallowed Realm
  • Swapped positions of Slimey and Legendary Sheep to match their positions in the Forest of Fairies and Demon Frontier
  • Changed the Holy Chamber jewels' item types from Item to Key Item
  • New sprite for Magaleta's "AGI UP!"
  • Added "Cross Pendant breaks" message in the final scene (second ending) to explain why Senia isn't being protected
Installation & Download
  1. Download the Emperium Mod here[drive.google.com]
  2. Go to your Eternal Senia folder
    Example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Eternal Senia"
  3. OPTIONAL: Backup the "Game.rgss3a" by renaming it or moving it elsewhere
  4. Place the downloaded "Game.rgss3a" file your Eternal Senia folder
  5. Run the game as usual

If anyone (modder or otherwise) is willing to do an update for this game, please offer a way to exchange for the critical boost pages/books! Grinding for them is probably the single worst part of the game right now. Thanks!

It is April 2022 now. Are there any further bugfixes/updates left for the Empyrium Mod?

If I may, perhaps this may be better to do in a forum thread where such stuff can be more easily organized rather than lost in comments.

Also may be worthwhile to do a separate 'latest updates' thread for this since 'HENWRYY' may not be aware of others continuing to update the mod.

To get Ending #4:

1. Complete the Holy Chamber and interact with the flowers beside Nia's grave.
2. Enter the Bonus Room and leave.
3. Interact with a Goddess Statue and choose Incantation
4. Defeat Magaleta

Senia also seems to not use very many pronouns when referring to herself when speaking to Magaleta in Ending Three ("...Senia is nothing without you!" -> "...I'm nothing without you!").
As an aside, are you willing to make a short walkthrough on how to get Ending Four, even if they're in spoiler blackouts or on another page?

Sorry to bother you again, but I also JUST noticed that the Chest Monster in the Lord's Hall makes a mention of the "Force Realm". What is the "Force Realm" anyways? Am I missing some special zone that's really well hidden? lol
Yes, I know that it's just something minor, and that it's referring to the now-renamed Abyssal Realm, but it's funny nonetheless.
Anyways, no need to update it right just yet. It might be a good idea to wait a week or so unless something else comes up. Have a good night!
