Posable Medigun Beams

Omschrijving
I made this addon years ago, back when I had no idea what I was doing. It's only here on the workshop to keep old dupes and saves working. For a much better addon that you can use to add particle effects (including medigun beams and more!) to your scenes, check out the Advanced Particle Controller.

A set of Medigun props with posable healing beams. Since they use the actual beam effect from Team Fortress 2, they're perfect for TF2 poses, screenshots and videos - no more having to use ropes as a cheap stand-in!

Of course, you'll need TF2 installed for this addon to work.

FAQ:
  • How do I use this?
1: Open the Entities tab, go to the Medigun Poser category, and select the medigun of your choice.
2: This will spawn a medigun prop and a target block, with the beam going between them.
3: For the medigun prop, just pose it the same way you would a normal prop.
4: For the target block, place it where you want the beam to end (i.e. in a Heavy's torso) and make it invisible with the Color tool.

  • That hose on the back of the medigun is annoying, can I get rid of it?
You can use the bone manipulator to hide the hose inside the medigun, effectively removing it. However, if the Medic you're using is a prop_dynamic or made with my Animated Props addon, you can bonemerge the medigun prop to the Medic and the hose will move into place automatically.

despite it's age,i rather quite love the simplicity this has - and think it's still the best option when it comes to posing a medigun. yes, even over the particle controller

Now all we need is a version of this, but as a rope, Elastic, hydraulic, Muscle, Pully, Slider, And Winch tool and with the Half Life Electric Arc effects found through both the new and old games(if the gold source electric arc mathematics port is possible). All i can say is that it sucks that i don't have TF2, but hey, at least i got a little bit in this: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1602150194&searchtext=medi

if you see an error instead of a medigun or medigun beam, you dont have tf2 mounted, installed or in steam library. to fix this, just get the game, install it and mount it in the games tab in your main menu of gmod. tf2 is free to install and free to play, so you do not have to pay for it. take my word.

thanks for taking your time reading this important note.
