This guide will help you get (almost) all of the achievements in one playthrough. There are some achieves that will require re-playing the first chapter in order to finish; such as killing a certain amount of enemies and crushing a certain amount of boxes, something you might not be able to do in one playthrough.

My advice for making the most out of one playthrough is to make an effort to kill any and all enemies you come across, break any box you can and collect any crystal you see.

Make sure to check the guide at the start of every chapter in order to know what you will have to look for and not miss anything that might be important.

I will be referring to another guide that covered all of the hidden locations through this guide when necessary.

There are a few achievements that will unlock naturally during gameplay, some by collecting a certain amount of items and some by passing certain areas of a chapter.

Rookie / Apprentice / Veteran / Expert / Dwarven miner - unlocks by collecting the specified amount of crystals
Note: the crystal count is bugged and the game registers each crystal as multiple ones, so you don't actually have to collect 1,500 crystals



Oops! / Arachnophobia / Taxidermist / Exterminator - unlocks by killing the specified amount of enemies (any kind of enemy not including bosses)


It was an accident! / Ain't it fun! / Can't get enough! - unlocks by breaking the specified amount of boxes



Skeleton
Go down the hill
unlocks after going down the hill at chapter 5


Minecart Jockey
Get to the end of rails
unlocks after reaching the end of the rails at chapter 7


The Last Chord
Complete the game
unlocks after the end credits finish

Last Shadow
Die in the shadows
When you gain control of Canny after the opening scene, Canny operates on solar power. To get this achievement, find a shadow somewhere in the yard and hide under it.
You will get a low power warning, ignore it and stay in the shadow until Canny dies. If Canny doesn't die, go out to the sun and back to the shadow or walk around in the shadow until he does.



My precious!
Get back the generator
The chapter will restart after you get the previous achieve. When you gain control of Canny, go towards the magnet and take the generator.

Troublemaker
Break 5 policemen
There are policemen robots stationed around the city in the first chapter. Walk up to them and knock over 5 of them to unlock the achievement.

Retro Arcade Master
Complete the arcade minigame
after passing the gate with policemen in chapter 1, you will climb up a tall building using scaffolding. On that building's open area will be an arcade machine to the right. Win a game by reaching the castle in the end. Enter a name when asked and the achievement will unlock.



Amanarium
Visit a friend
After getting off the elevator, go to the right and find a couple sitting on a bench. Behind them there is a robot standing alone. Knock him over, and the achievement will unlock.



Slam Dunker
Throw a ball into the basket
There is a basketball court in the city. Find it (won't take too long) and dunk the basketball in the ring (might take a few good tries) and the achievement will unlock.

Superman
Let the worm toss you up in the air
At the boss fight, let the worm toss you up in the air by standing directly above its head while it comes out of the ground.


Boss1
Defeat the worm
Allow the worm to break the walls, leaving stones lying around the area. Take a stone, wait for the worm to come out of the ground and put its head down, then hit its head with the stone. Repeat until the worm is dead

Knockout
Take a punch from the gorilla
While fighting the 2nd boss (the gorilla) allow it to punch you at least once before killing it.


Boss 2
Defeat the gorilla
Same as the worm, this boss will also be defeated by getting hit in the head area with stones. Learn the pattern of the Gorilla's attack and dodge it as best you can. While it's not attacking, jump up and throw stones at its face until it is defeated.

Let it snow

Piranha Bytes
Get bitten by piranhas
While crossing the ice floats towards the boss fight area, allow a piranha to bite you. This might take a few tries since you can fall to the water before they have a chance to bite you.


Boss 3
Defeat the octopus
Find and attach the 4 TNT pieces to their target places while avoiding getting hit by the octopus. Detonate the TNT once all pieces are in place.

IMPORTANT
This chapter contains 5 things you must activate in order to get an achievement in the next chapter. Once you have reached the mansion you will be greeted by a hologram. Search through the rest of the chapter to find 5 more holograms and activate them (6 in total) and make sure they light up and speak.


Booga boo!
Find the pumpkin

The Quick and the Dead
Get eaten by the toad
Allow the toad to eat you.


Boss 4
Defeat the toad
The toad scans the area with the red beam in its head. Wait for it to look away and progress to the next hiding spot. Do this slowly until you reach the end and it will be defeated.

Last Hope
Find all holograms
This is a continuation to Chapter 6's hologram search and activation. Search for and find 5 holograms through this chapter and activate them in order to unlock the achievement.


this last collectible is found near the very end of the chapter so make sure you don't miss it!

Super Hot
Get burned by the dragon
Allow the dragon to burn you once.

how to escape the dragon
The dragon breathes fire at the bridge for a few seconds then takes a break. Use that time to run towards the next hiding spot. The screen will go into slow motion which means the dragon is going to strike you with its tail. Jump or double jump to avoid the strike. Continue moving forward until you reach the end of the bridge and the dragon will be defeated.


Green is the new Red
Find the green crystal
Before entering the portal make sure to grab the card (and unlock the last collectible achievement). Then take Dr. Brown's ID from his body and use it to open the locked room on the left of the screen. Grab the green Crystal and go to the portal to finish the chapter.

Chapter 8 contains the VERY frustrating dragon ride and the final boss. Here are my tips for surviving both:

Boss 5
Defeat the dragon
You will find yourself riding the back of the dragon and sliding to the sides. The game will prompt you to press different keys in order to get back on the back of the dragon and not fall off. These keys make no sense and you'll want to remember them because you will most likely fail this ride many times until you get it right.
Once you slide off, wait a second or so before pressing the key. You will have to try it many times to get the correct timing, it is VERY frustrating and there is no indication to when you are supposed to press it. So keep trying until you get it.

The first prompt will be: LMB (left mouse button)
The 2nd prompt will be: G
The 3rd prompt will be: Space
Lastly you will be prompted to click LMB repeatedly until the sequence ends and the dragon is defeated.



The last boss
There are a few things you will have to do in this fight.
First will be the normal picking up of stones and jumping to hit the boss in the face with said stones.
You'll have to avoid the red circles he will trigger on the floor, and never get too close to him or he will hit you hard with his hands.
About a third of the way in the boss will introduce a new ground attack in the form of red spikes that come from the ground like a wave. Avoid these and keep throwing stones at his face.
Then the boss will start throwing robots at you. Jump on the robot to separate its bomb head from its body. Quickly pick up the bomb head, jump and hit the boss with it in its face before it explodes in your hands.
Repeat this while avoiding his ground attacks until he is defeated.

After the end credits finish rolling you will recieve the achievement "The last chord".

By this point you probably haven't unlocked all killing/crystal collecting/box breaking achievements. My tip is to re-play chapter 1 and reach the city (after the elevator part). There you will encounter many rats boxes and crystals. Once you cleared the city of all resources, climb up a building and jump down a few times until you die. This will respawn you back at the elevator where you can clear the city of rats crystals and boxes again. Do this again and again until you unlocked all related achievements.

This is a good opportunity to get The last achievement

I hope this guide will be useful to you and that you will get 100% completion in a short amount of time. This game was fun altogether, and I have noticed that the devs cared a lot about the community who played it and were interactive and responsive to help with questions and fix bugs mentioned in the discussion boards.
