The magnum is appropriately named for its appearance, to quote one of the engineers who worked on the design : " the Magnums is basically just a giant mass driver with engines strapped in the back "

Being primarily a long range siege platform , the magnum has been fitted with a multiple turret lock at the front in order to lock its railguns in a manner that they face where the ship is pointing.

While primarily designed for railguns, the ship internals has been designes to support all long range weaponnry, including lasers and cannons when railguns arent available.
Because of the heavy recoil of its main weapon type, the Magnum engines system has been designed more with braking than actual propulsion, the ship internals is heavily reliant on inertial dampeners to remain stable while firing.

Unlike its little brother, the Magnum isn't designed for speed and agility though i does have excellent Yaw for the purpose of aiming , its not designed for fast orbits, preferring to remain stable at a safer range, punching holes in its target's hull and turning it into swiss cheese.
