Acceleracers Storm Realm Fp Edition

Beskrivning
The Storm Realm will test the nerve of the very best drivers. Focus is paramount, ignore all distractions and remain concentrated on your driving above all else, and winning will come easy.
The Storm Realm is suspended in the stratosphere during a violent electrical storm. It mostly consists of long open straightaways perfect for opening up the throttle, and massive loops and leaps. Devices acting as lightning rods built alongside the track attract electrical discharge from the atmosphere, and redirect it toward the drivers.
The skill for this realm is staying focused on your driving. This realm's Accele-Charger provides protection from electrical discharge.
Recent updates: Added more obstacles to increase the difficulty. Improved lightning strikes. Rather than pop-up barriers they are now appropriately-colored kill grids that illuminate when approached giving the sense of imminent discharge. Added updated AcceleDrome and adjusted portal locations accordingly.
Updated the skybox and storm clouds in accordance with the Skybox update. Updated thumbnail since there is no longer an option to take a picture without fog.
This is one of my first Distance tracks, and my take on the Storm Realm. Hot Wheels and AcceleRacers rights belong to Mattel. Thanks to the Distance community and your awesome tracks for inspiring me to make these realms.

The round things looked to be pillar obstacles that had been embedded in the ground. They were in a checkers formation in front of one of the checkpoints, perhaps something underneath the track?

Again, they didn't kill me, I hit them with a wheel and all my momentum just stopped, as if I hit a wall but without the damage.

Also: the lightning strikes are a one-time effect and don't trigger once passed by again. I can't do anything about that. Once again, thanks for all your feedback.

the long drop at the beginning was included so as to be authentic to the movies. It works best if you ease off the boost as soon as you hit the portal and angle downwards. also, what round things? I added a few wrecks including Rolling Thunder, Slingshot, and a few Drone vehicles where they were destroyed in the film, those could be it. In the storm area, the killzones are pink so as to be more visible amid the lightning. I'll tone down the noise of the storm to make increase visibility.

As one last note; if you die and pass by lightning strikes you've previously passed, the lightning doesn't strike there again, yet the killzones remain.

Once again; your starting area suffers from turns that are too sharp.

First time I enter the "Storm Realm" I'm completely lost, boosting forward with no indication of where to go. Thankfully I noticed a track below and boosted downward, but I had to reset three times before I hit the track.

(Only just realised I'm listening to Slyphstorm - Electroflail while running this track. So fitting.)

What are those weird round things placed before one of the checkpoints near the end? I hit them but they didn't do anything but cut my momentum.

In the storm area, none of the lightning strikes, the killzones are pink and the storm is so thick I can't see the track.

I really don't understand arika, This was the hardest storm realm for me, maybe i'm bad at dodging but i found all the others easy, maybe it's just me, either way it's just my opinion

Just went through the updated version, and the spawn indicators are far better (almost too easy now, but I'd rather that than having the lightning/barriers spawn under my car). I give you two enthusiastic thumbs up for the update c:

I have to disagree with Hakyra, this is by far the easiest storm realm and isn't as faithful as dashie's version.Still, the lightning effects were better than other versions I've seen. Realm fans, I'd skip this one, but still, don't miss this guy's Solar realm version. That was a good map.
