Note: I'm currently very busy so I am inactive on steam/my PC. For this reason I am taking a break from updating the guide. Apologies!

I am the worst at explaining things so here's a very rough breakdown:

- I find a Steam background that I like using https://steam.tools/backgrounds/#/
- I crop the background using https://steam.design/
- I either find a rendered image that I want to use or render one myself using Photoshop.
- I break up the image into multiple layers isolating the parts of it that I want to animate. For example, if I'm wanting to animate a person, generally I will separate the hair (individual strands if I'm up for it), pieces of clothing, the eyes, and so on.
- I will then paint under all of the pieces I cut out to fill in the empty/duplicate areas.

After all that is done I import the PSD into After Effects and start animating it there. After Effects is a whole different story, but there's an abundance of tutorials out there for it. Everything I've learned has been from YouTube/Skillshare tutorials.

2-3 seconds for artworks. Any longer is just too much in terms of file size with heavy animation. I usually try to keep it at around 3 seconds.

25-30. Usually 30. If there is barely any animation at all then 60.
