As we spawn on the beach upon entering a new server, you will be surrounded by a destroyed longboat , dead bodies and lots of wooden planks. These wooden planks are your first chance to gather wood. There are also small rocks scattered around, collect those along your travels. This will get you started, You can find more regarding crafting and recipies within the Crafting Section. The beach is also where you can find your first quests. Simply walk up to an NPC and press F to interact.

The MAIN interaction button within the game is the F key. You can use this to collect / interact and focus.

The map can be accessed by pressing M. The map is fulled revealed at the start and shows the player location.

Yep, you may have guessed it, a tutorial for gathering :)

In the basics section, you will have read that we will be using the F button alot. It is the same for gathering. In order to gather efficiently, we will need tools.

The better the tool, the better the gather rate.

Lets take a look at the main items that we can gather,

Tree - Provides Wood & Sticks - Requires Pick-Axe or Axe


Rock - Provides Stone & Iron Ore - Required Piack-Axe or Axe

Clay - Provides Clay for mortar - Requires Pickaxe or Axe

Fibrous Plant - Used to turn into Thread



Various Berries - For Potions / Food - Press F to Gather

Wheat - Food - Press F to Gather

Animals - (Pig) = Provides Hide and Meat

When it comes to crafting, you will be able to craft many items from your basic inventory.

There are a few more basic items you can craft, but that pretty much sums up the important stuff. To start crafting these items, you will need to learn the recipes. The recipes can be found in the next section.

If you want to learn the recipes without looking, it simply is a game of dragging materials into the crafting section of your inventory.



One you have the recipe for the item you need, simply ensure you have enough resources to go ahead and start crafting. The crafting button is at the bottom of the crafting section.




I won't list all of the items for the Advanced crafting, simple look under the workbench items on the recipes section.

You will however need a workbench to craft any structures other than wood. You will pretty much need a workbench for the "good stuff" such as armor / weaponry and advanced tools.

To craft the "good stuff" you will need a refinary. A refinary can be made from your basic crafting menu. You will need Clay / Wood and Stone as mentioned in the recipe section. From here , you will need an axe to gather the clay, stone and iron.

So here is a few useful tips that i have discovered in-game. Some of them may be intentional in the game or glitches. But any obvious glitches have been left out.

Tip 1

To Run faster in-game , have a knife equipped in your hand , this will allow you to sprint faster than just a normal sprint. (As if you where about to rush a target)


Tip 2

Poisioned ? - Use marigold flower to reverse the poison - this will stop your health form depleting.

Artifacts

Artifacts can be found and random locations. A notification will appear on the server that you are playing if an artifact has spawned. They have a limited time to be found. The "gods" will retrive the artifact if it isnt found within the time-frame (unknown time).

The most important information regarding Artifacts is that they provide its retriever with alot of power with the gods. A shrine can be made form the artifacts. So it is advise to "treasure" it. As a result, the artifact will provide shards. These shards can be used to craft or upgrade weapons & armor.



These Alters are scattered around the map. You can also make sacrifices at Monuments.

Alters are small locations on the map or additionally feature at monuments. There are no specific alters for each god, you can use any !






The Gods can be "appeased" by sacrificing items at Alters.

To appease the gods, the current sacrifices that have a positive affect are listed below. All of the gods will take a large disliking to weapons being sacrificed !!!

Yggjur = Food(M) + Armor(H) + beverages(H) + Shields(H)
Raw Meat has an extremely High Influence

Kerska = Food + Armor + beverages + Shields (Med Influence)
Raw Meat has a Medium influence

TjoSUll = (Currently unkown)

Your quests and actions will also influence your standing with the gods. Killing NPC's or players will immediately take you by 30 - 40 % into the red with each god. The only way to pay off your "Bounty" to the gods is to make further sacrifices.

Once you have maxed a positive status with a god, this will give you extra abilities within the field of the god. You will not however managed to please all three gods to 100% , this is impossible!

Still alot to be learned from Temples & Caves. The Devs unfortunately aren't letting alot slip regarding these, but its another nice suprise to look forward to.
