When you first get this game, the Vampire Counts aren't a great faction to pick for your first campaign especially if you're new to the total war franchise. They're very different to your typical armies, having no archers whatsoever and strong unbreakable units. These guys make your skirmishes longer but once the leader has been killed they die due to major attrition very quickly. they are like a dead rising game basically. Your best bet is to play with the, all-around good-at-being-bad, Mannfred Von Carstein. a great fighter and magic user.
