Basics
I enjoyed this game a lot. It's a pretty good game by itself, but it really needs to be played with friends to reach its full potential. The picture has nothing to do with the game. I just thought it was a cool screenshot of my minesweeper game.

**NOTE:
I am making this guide on a school night, therefore I had to stop early, and this guide is not yet finished. I am open to suggestions.

OVERVIEW:

Basically there are 2 massive teams with a maximum of around 70 people on each team. The goal of either team is to capture all of the control points of the entire map.

BASICS:

Once you join the game you will have a pistol with some ammo, and a hammer in your inventory. These 2 items are pretty good metaphors for the courses of action you can take in your game. You can either help your team out with logistics, or join the frontline and fight it out against the enemy.
Logistics
“You will not find it difficult to prove that battles, campaigns, and even wars have been won or lost primarily because of logistics.” – General Dwight D. Eisenhower

Logistics (logi in short) is all about winning the supply and production war. This can be just as important, if not even more important than the frontline fighting. Just ask the Soviet Union. The main job of logistics is obtaining supplies, refining them, turning them into guns, bullets, tanks, etc, and delivering them to the front.

**NOTE! IF YOU SEE A SOLDIER WALKING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, ASK WHERE HE IS GOING. HE MAY NEED A RIDE.

There are 4 main materials in this game:

- Scrap: You will need to refine this into Basic Materials (BMats) before using them for anything, but afterwards, BMats are going to be the main building material for almost everything. From, bullets, guns, binoculars, and mortars to sandbags (yes, I know, this one is strange), trucks, walls, and barbed wire, BMats are going to be needed.

- Components: You will need to refine this into Refined Materials (RMats) before using them. You will need a sledgehammer to obtain components. Rmats are used for more advanced construction, such as building tanks, and upgrading foxholes into gun nests. These are also going to be very important.

-------YOU WILL SPEND 90% OF YOUR TIME AS LOGISTICS WORKING WITH THE MATERIALS ABOVE-------

- Fuel: Needed to power vehicles.

- Sulfur: Needed to craft explosives.

Important facts:

ORGANIZATION AND COMMUNICATION ARE KEY TO LOGISTICS! Find out what supplies your team needs, communicate with your fellow logistics members about who is going where and doing what. I have played games where all the logistics members were coordinated by a Quartermaster who kept track of everything and issued commands. I have also played games where the logistics members had their own private discord channel (I know, some people take this very seriously lol).

FINAL NOTE ABOUT LOGISTICS:

You will be spending a lot of time driving a truck around, but it isn't as boring as it sounds and is highly vital. Now that we are done with all that, it's time to move onto being a frontline soldier.
Frontline
Wars may be fought by weapons, but they are won by men. -George S. Patton

The term "frontline soldier" very loosely defines combat in this game. There will definitely be a front somewhere on the map, where two large armies have gathered, and the air is filled with smoke. Here, there are generally 3 types of soldiers.

Machine gunner:

Inventory:
- Machine Gun
- MG Ammo
- Pistol
- Pistol Ammo

Carries around a large and heavy machine gun. Extremely low versatility and mobility, but that machine gun packs one hell of a punch, and can rip through human bodies, leaving only bloody corpses. Their low speed means they will often get left behind when the riflemen retreat from an overwhelming attack.

Riflemen:

Inventory:
- A primary gun of some sort. Most will end up using the rifle, although armies with better logistics get access to better guns such as the carbine and Storm Rifle.
- Primary ammo
- Pistol or revolver
- Secondary ammo
- HE and Frag grenades
- Binoculars
- Radio

This is the most common unit of the frontline army, and with good reason. Cheap to equip, extremely mobile, and highly versatile, this will be the bread and butter of any Foxhole game. The rifleman can adapt to a variety of threats, frag grenades against machine gunners, HE grenades against emplacements, submachine gun for close range, and a carbine for long range. They can also be equipped with radios, binoculars, and various other items to help them in combat.

Medic: May or may not carry around a rifle, depends on how many rifles there are. Carries around medical supplies to heal wounded soldiers, and revive ones on the verge of death.

Combat engineer: Builds foxholes and sandbags at the front line to provide cover for an advancing army. Can also put down barbed wire to slow down the enemy advance.

Rear Echelon Engineer: Upgrades foxholes, and builds more advance buildings to help keep territory.

Partisans: These guys sneak through gaps in the enemy line to wreak havoc among the enemy logistics. This is my favorite, although you have to be extremely careful.
Final tips
FINAL TIPS:

- Make sure you have a working microphone. Communication is key in this game.
- Games may take up to weeks to complete, so always think about the long run.
- Balance logistics and frontline. Both are important.

BIG TIP:

- LOOK AT CHAT. I CANNOT STRESS HOW HELLISH IT IS WHEN SOMEBODY COMPLAINS THAT THEY HAVE RUN OUT OF SOMETHING BUT NEVER TOLD ME THAT THEY NEEDED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. ALSO, LOGISTICS, LOOK AT CHAT TOO. SEE IF THERE ARE ANY TASKS YOU NEED TO COMPLETE.

70 people per team is a bit too much
