Intro
This guide will aim to help those wanting the "Your Finished Guidebook" achievement. The other Vivian Clark achievements as well as some general tips are listed at the very bottom of this guide.

Vivian Clark is unlocked by walking into the level 2 house in Soda Drinker Pro

The good news with this achievement is that you only need to collect the 120 guidebook pages it doesnt actually matter how many levels you complete. This is not to say completing levels is pointless, in fact if you are confident in your abilities each completed level automatically gets added to the guidebook thus saving you collects. The guidebook is in the lower left of the menu.
FIRE SAFETY!
The fire is essentially a lives counter. The table below shows the various levels. Entering a Level 0 Fire ends that game. Read the tips section after the table for important information!

Level 5-4 Fire
Level 3 Fire
Level 2 Fire
Level 1 Fire
Level 0 Fire
Dead Fire-Below Level 0

Important Fire Facts
  • Fire level is visible in the menus top right corner
  • You cannot buy or pickup a log if your fire is max level
  • As said before entering a Level 0 Fire ends the game
  • A Level 0 Fire has embers rising from it but no flames
  • A Level 0 Fire needs 1 log to become usable
  • Using Tortoises while your fire is at Level 0 will make it a Dead Fire
  • A Dead Fire has no flames but unlike Level 0 it also has no embers
  • A Dead Fire needs 2 logs to become usable
  • A Level 5 Fire is slightly taller than 4 but both look almost identical
Collects & Items
This section will talk about collects and items. The first table shows collect values and the second shows item costs and functions. Read the tips section after the tables for important information!

Tortoise-50 collects

Collects & Items Facts
  • You cannot buy or pickup a log if your fire is max level
  • Stopwatches are a cheaper way to go back to your last world if you are confident in your abilities
  • Stopwatches are at the fire pit, not in inventory. As such they are only usable from the spawn
  • Stopwatches max at 3 and you start with 3. Tortoises can stack infinitely however you start with 0
  • Tortoises are in your inventory so you can use them in ANY world to go to the previous world
  • Using multiple Tortoises in a row sends you back and forth between the worlds you use them in
  • Using a Tortoise reduces your fire by 1 level. Stopwatch does not reduce fire level at all
  • Guidebook pages are still available even with completed guidebook so make sure not to overbuy
  • Sometimes red collects have a value of 10, unsure what causes this
  • Tortoise can reduce your fire one level below 0 if used while your fire is already 0. If this happens you need two logs to start the fire.
Basic strategy
You take the place of a raindrop falling to the ground when first starting. You want to grab the collects on the way down. Try and follow the path of most collects and avoid the minigame sprites.
You can slowdown your raindrop whilst falling. To slow down press A button if on controller or spacebar if using keyboard. Doing this you can even hover between two close enough streams.
When you get close to the ground aim for the ground just to the left of the water swirls. You should now be put into a crocodile minigame with rockets falling from the air.

Run to the left from here for a few collects and possibly a log. Now turn around and run past the switch until you reach a sign that says go back. If you couldn't grab the log then your fire is already level 5.
After reaching the sign run left again and try and avoid the falling missiles. Upon turning back you should find a few red collects and if you were lucky earlier maybe 1-2 yellow collects.
After this allow the rockets to kill you, you could enter the ship sprite in the center but its minigame is too slow collectwise.

After respawning check in the menu that the fire is level 1 or more. If your fire is level 0 but still has embers rising from it then you need one log. If your fire has no embers at all then you need two logs. Entering a fire below a level of 1 ends the game.

Upon entering the fire you should "evaporate" into the sky, your goal is to fly up and collect moisture to begin the rain game again. You want to avoid the sprites that start minigames and hit the dark grey foggy patches to collect moisture and grow in size.
Upon hitting ten assuming you have done it before reaching space then the rain level will start again. To slow your ascent press down on the analog stick. You should most of the time be able to reach full size but note that reaching space starts the rocket ship minigame.

Simply continue these steps and buy guidebook pages when you can. It is a good idea to leave enough for logs just incase whenever you buy some pages. I have made 1000 collects in under 40 minutes with this strategy. You need 9000 spent total to reach 120 pages but you may along the way or if you wish to do so complete some levels and get guidebook pages that way.
Tips & Other Achievements
General Tips
  • The first time you enter the crocodile minigame you will find an envelope near the sign, pick it up and enter the rocketship to complete that level and add a page to the guidebook

  • Accidently entering a world isnt the end of the world, just try and more often than not you might find the solution

  • When "raining" or "evaporating" be weary of your distance when going past sprites some have deceptively large detection radiuses

  • This strategy is good for farming other items like Tortoises which can help with completing more levels should you wish to do so

  • The pages around the fire just show what you have beaten not what you have unlocked in the guidebook

  • The guidebook can be completed over multiple playsessions the "GAME OVER" from entering a dead fire doesnt delete your guidebook pages it just resets Tortoises and Collects to 0 for your next play and refreshes your stopwatches and fire

  • As per the above tip make sure to spend all your Collects before entering the dead fire or exiting the game

  • If you wish to do so you could simply wait till your fire runs out, spend all your collects on pages and then get game over and restart for a full fire. This may be quicker however I haven't tested doing it that way

Other Achievements
  • Your First Guidebook-Simply purchase one guidebook page. Easy.
  • Collects Collects Collects-Gather 500 collects for this one. Doesn't have to be in one game.
  • Stoke the Fire-Put 5 logs on the fire in a single game. Fire must be below level 5 to be stoked.

For the strategy, what I have been doing is get into the spaceship as the crocodile and crash into an asteroid. Once on the asteroid I move to the left and run into the pink dude. Once in his little mini-game, I jump on the wall and get on the boxes, where I keep moving right and run into a cloud, taking you back to the raindrop falling to the ground. I would consider this more effective because it allows you to skip paying 30 collects for each log, but I haven't actually tested if it is better.
