Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top - British Highway Maintenance
1983-2016

Road Maintenance Truck (Snowfall) based on my Land Rover Defender, made from scratch in Blender & Photoshop.

Since road maintenance in the United Kingdom is usually contracted out to private companies, this vehicle's livery is fairly generic. It uses elements common across most of these vehicles, including the hi-vis stripe and rear pattern. Similar vehicles are used across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

While I could do a Lowlands livery, I don't think it's different enough to my existing livery to really justify a separate upload.

In fact, when I made the Mountain Rescue livery, I tried to keep it as a sort of generic Search & Rescue livery, and all of the text I added to it just read Search & Rescue. Of course, the Mountain Rescue logo does ruin the effect slightly, but it just wouldn't be right without it.

Wow, nice to see that you will be releasing more content soon. Also, would you consider doing a lowlands search and rescue? It should't be that different than the mountain rescue one.

I think I know the livery you mean, but I probably won't be putting it on the Defender. I had considered a black/yellow Traffic Officer livery instead of this one (since they both perform maintenance roles), but in the end it came down to the fact I couldn't find any evidence of real Defenders using the TO livery.

However, I'm planning on doing another Land Rover model in the future, which will definitely be available with the Traffic Officer livery. Trouble is, it's 4th on the list behind a taxi, a quirky French MPV and an 80's sports coupe. I really should get on with finishing those...
