Points = (Base * Glyphs) + (⌊Combo / 5⌋ * 3)

Even if your combo is high enough that you should be getting points, you can't get any unless you have at least one glyph.

Note: ⌊...⌋ indicates mathematical flooring[en.wikipedia.org].

For example, if you defeat an enemy with a base value of 3 points, you have 12 glyphs and a combo of 18 you would receive 45 points.

(3 * 12) + (⌊18 / 5⌋ * 3) = 45

The combo timer is 5 seconds. You will lose your combo if you don't reset the timer before it runs out.


Entering a World Snake will reset and pause your combo timer until you exit it.


Destroying a mushroom will add to your combo and reset the timer.

Shooting, slashing or jumping on an enemy will reset your combo timer even if it doesn't defeat the enemy. Your combo timer will also be reset whenever a enemy explodes or is destroyed by defeating a boss.

The base values for the bosses listed bellow are the value for each individual boss enemy (or piece of the boss).

When the last boss enemy is defeated, all of the other enemies in the area are also defeated and will count toward your points and combo.

For example, if there are 7 normal 1 point enemies around when you defeat the last boss enemy in world 1 and you have 15 glyphs and only 1 combo, you will get 207 points total.

* These enemies are a slightly different color then the ones that give you 1 point. They appear in place of the 1 point enemy after you defeat enough of them. They won't add to your combo but defeating them will reset your combo timer.
