Introduction
Hello, and first, thank you for clicking on my guide.
In this guide I'm going to go over the basics of PWND, for anyone new, followed by my slightly less basic explanation of how you should play the character "Ito".
I will be going over her weapon, abilities, her positives, and her negatives.
I hope you enjoy, and I am very open to comments below, or feel free to add me if you wish to discuss.
So, you want to play PWND?
Now, before I go over the specific character "Ito" in PWND, I would like to quickly go over the basics of the game, as some players may be unfamiliar- so here I am to explain the mechanics of the game.
It's an arena shooter.
There are 4 characters (as of 25/7/17); Hank, Law, Splice, and Ito.
Each character has their own weapon, abilities, and health.
The scoring mechanism is a very interesting one, however-
To score, you knock your opponents health to 0.
This knocks them into a crawling state. From there, you have options.
Either:
  • 1) Fight the rest of the opponents off
  • 2) PWN the player there and then
  • 3) Carry the player to another location, then PWN them there
  • 4) RUN FOR YOUR LIFE

If you chose 1, and you fought the rest off, that player crawling will eventually die UNLESS they pick up a health pack (yes, a health pack restores a crawling player to a physical state!)
If you chose 2, you have the chance to gain however many points that player is worth (2x level) UNLESS there is a stack- if there is a stack, it will take longer to PWN but will be worth more! :)
If you chose 3, you have a certain timer before the character you're carrying (by pressing q) will just disappear from your hands, but this gives you some form of safety as opposed to the open grounds.
If you chose 4, I don't blame you- in many situations, as a player of PWND, I've had to run away once I've got a kill, due to more than one player focussing rockets at me!

Now, I'm going to give an explanation as to each of Ito's abilities, her weapon and how she should be played.
Ito Introduction

This is Ito. She's a more defensive character compared to the rest- read on and you'll see why I think that.
Primary Weapon - PWNTECH HK42
Ito's weapon looks a bit like this:

This weapon is medium ranged, and almost like a grenade launcher- it fires a shot which encounters heavy bullet drop, which explodes and causes AoE damage (Area of Effect). This makes it a useful weapon when taking on more than one opponent in a close proximity as you can deal damage to multiple players at the same time.

Ito's PWNTECH HK42:
*will insert a vid when OBS isn't evil*
As you can see here, Ito's shot fires ONE single mortar (but I like to see it as a grenade, seems funnier) which explodes and causes damage.
This is a semi effective weapon at close range, due to the explosive nature of the mortars, meaning even if you're not a good shot and your accuracy is slightly off, you have a chance of causing explosive damage anyway. However, Ito has a low HP (900) which means most of the time you will be playing medium range. Ito does not usually play out long range duals/fights due to the drop of the mortar. At a medium range, her shots are not hard to calculate, it just requires a slight aim above the target. This gives her a good mid-ranged weapon.

Ability 1- Sticky Bomb

Now, for those who have played PWND, many of you will have seen these scattered around the map.
The "Sticky Bomb", Ito's ability, gives her a throwable explosive that sticks to any surface, and detonates when an opponent comes close to it. Because these are sticky, one of the best things to do with Ito's sticky bombs are to just scatter the map with them- they usually do between 100 and 200 damage, which may not sound like a lot but is the difference between 3 shots and 4 shots, which could be lifesaving.
*insert vid when OBS is nice*
One thing to do is to save these though (You can use 2 at any time, but they charge up (as an ability)) then when in combat, deploy both near your opponent- chances are they'll be trying to strafe you out, and this either hurts them or changes their movement field, lowering their chances to hit you hard.

Ability 2 - PWN Bot

Arguably a very useful perk, Ito has the ability to spawn a bot.
This bot can then go and PWN a crawling body- giving you the ability to carry on fighting!
This is very useful, as if you're midcombat you can shoot this bot across the map, let that PWN someone on the other side while fighting over that huge PWN stack you've created in the middle; giving you a huge amount of freedom while still being able to farm those points.
*vid when OBS is nice*
However, one disadvantage to Ito's PWN-Bot is that it can be PWND itself, which means you need to be careful how you deploy it- if you just shoot it into a random space, chances are it will be instahit and PWND. When you level up, the PWN-Bot also levels up (but not at the same time, not 1:1), which means you can be PWND for 6 points just off of the bot.
Movement - Air Hover
Ito's movement ability is to hover into the air for a certain amount of time.

This gives her the chance to stay high in the air- in aPARKalypse this is quite important, as the air seems to be a dominating topic on there; on Neo New York, however, the map is not as focussed on "the air" but her ability is still useful to hover as a way of confusing the opponents. When you start to calculate your shots in advance, you'll find this extremely useful as it counters some of those prefires.
*will insert vid when OBS is nice*
There is one problem with Air Hover however- Hank, Law and Splice's movement abilities all have the ability to push your character into the air- with Ito, you are stuck to bouncing off walls and hovering when necessary. This can make it harder to evade shots, and combined with her low health this can cause problems in combat BUT once you learn how to evade the main combat zones with Ito, and just firing in (after all, she has a mortar launcher), her air hover becomes an awesome ability to possess.
Pros of Ito
So, now I am going to go over the pros and cons of using Ito as a character.

One pro is the ability to remotely PWN- you can send in your PWN-BOT and keep on fighting which causes the opponent to have to push to prevent that PWN, which gives you the chance to attack and damage the opponents.

A second pro is the ability to just spam sticky bombs in random locations. Now, you might think this is a weird thing to say- however, upon testing, I found that when an opponent sees a sticky bomb, they immediately shoot it out as to avoid the explosion. Now, because they have unloaded their gun at the floor/wall, that gives you the chance to hit them first which can be a huge game changer in a 1 on 1 situation.

Another pro is the way (I'll stop using the word ability) Ito's mortar causes AoE (area of effect) damage. Because of the way her mortar explodes, you do not have to be a super duper shot in order to cause some serious damage with her.
Cons of Ito
One huge con, like with Splice, is Ito's range. Her mortar shot can be hard to predict if you're new to the whole arena shooter idea, and even with practice it is sometimes still a minor difficulty trying to predict the next shot as the mortar caves in a /\ shape. Because of this, her shot drops and this can make it harder to shoot.

Another con is her movement - she doesn't have the best way to escape. To use Ito, you have to be very good at using the walls to parkour up for space and for air, as she does not have a movement ability which gives her that "push" as the rest do. This makes it harder to evade.

A third, and possibly the biggest con of Ito's, is that when used wrong, the PWN-BOT gives the other team free points (pretty much), as they can be stopped and PWND for points too! This means when you ARE using your PWN-BOT, you want to fire it as close as possible to your target. Otherwise, the other team can gain free points off of one of your abilities- and 2 points at first may not seem like a lot, but CAN be a huge game changer towards the end, especially if they can PWN multiple times.
Conclusion
So in conclusion, Ito is a very interesting character- she is much better played at a medium range, for my reasons explained. If you're looking for someone who's not too hard to play but isn't going to move about the map the best, Ito is your character. If you're looking for a further ranged character, look at Hank/Law. If you want even closer combat, I suggest Splice.
