Any pickup truck would work fine! The pickup you choose is going to be your base for the SUV! For this, I will use my very own JRK Eagle which you can find here.

You are going to need 2 ramps (1x2xn [n = height] are ideal). These ramps are going to be used support your cover later on! For my case, I used 1x2x3 ramps!
I am using yellow to mark the added bricks, but you don't have to do that!

Rember the ramps? They will be used to hold up your cover! Make your cover suit your needs!
If this is enough for you, you can stop here; make sure it is your vehicle's primary color. If you want a roof rack, keep following along!

Add 2 bricks to mark the roof rack length. Make sure there is a 2 brick length inbetween! It looks good if the bricks are completely inside.

Ramps are fun! Add 4 2x1 ramps (2 at each end) on top of your marker! make sure the ramps are faceing away from eachother, and has a 4 brick length gap.

Get creative here! Make the roof rack to whatever fits you!

Having your roof rack color as the same as your vehicle's primary color doesn't look very neat. So instead of that, color it with a different material! Tungsten is a good material, but Chrome, Aluminum, and Carbon could work as substitutes.
