Kenshi Ghanja

This mod provides an expansion to the Kenshi hemp, ghanja, and hash trades.

There are other mods that approach this, but they don’t seem to add what I have been looking for. For a long time I've just wanted to be able to sell and/or smoke bud / flower / weed in Kenshi in a believable way without adding too many extra details to the game.

This mod lets you do that. It lets you turn hemp into ghanja flowers and kief. Kief can be hand pressed into hashish. You can roll spliffs and equip them in your belt slot. You can craft a portable hookah which smokes many different hemp products and has different effects. And more!

Crafted on the Kenshi Basic Workbench
You can craft your very own portable hookah at the Kenshi Basic Workbench.

You carry this hookah item around with you. Then, when it’s time to take a break, find hookahs in the INTERIOR.hookahs build menu where you can choose which type of hookah you want to build. Some hookahs provide uncapped training, others no training—but either way, they require you to fill them with hemp products and produce ash for you to clean out. Hookahs and Kenshi Ghanja buildings can be built inside or outside and will not create an outpost.



Lit Spliffs are crafted on a rolling table. You take your spliff item and convert it into a belt slot piece of armor. It should show up in-game and in your portrait*. Since these take up a valuable belt slot, they provide armor coverage and a small across-the-board buff.

For the most part (you will have some exploring to do), if hemp is illegal in a culture, then all forms of it will be illegal contraband. If hemp is legal, they may allow you to sell small amounts (Spliffs) without repercussion—but anything more is asking for trouble. Each culture has its own markup based on what is easily available and preferred.
