Cheyenne Class - Science Corvette, R.W.I Cheyenne!

So this was part of my messing around with the R.W.I Discovery whilst making the Thunderchild – I liked the idea of a 4 Nacelled version of the Akira even though it has 8 :-S

This is a kitbash with further development upon Captain Jack’s RWI Discovery Science Cruiser. Lots of elements are from that ship with it also being used a style reference to help construct this. Credit obviously must go to Captain Jack and Venom415 for the original concept. Linked below.

As with the Thunderchild, the ship has retained the style of the Discovery with some of the internal rooms from the original remaining such as the Main Engine room. However due to the new shape of the ship many areas have been tweaked, re-aligned and some new rooms such as the Messhall added. The rear of the ship now has a science lab -reinstalled on the top deck and a rear away mission prep room added to the rear airlock.

The idea was that ship would fit in perfectly next to the Discovery as a sister in that fleet.

She has less internal volume than Discovery so comes out slightly smaller. You also dont need all the DLC's for this to work. However that means a few rooms/walkways etc may not exist.

If a new version of the Discovery is released, if anything has drastically changed ill update this to match. It is not survival ready, however im sure you will have fun destroying it in Creative or pitting it against the Discovery.

Launched in 2737 the Cheyenne Class uses many of the components and systems from the Venture and Akira Classes. With the Launch of the Akira Class Red Wood wanted a similar sized science vessel that could be deployed and rapid response situations. Whilst not as large as a Venture Class the Cheyenne Class could be deployed quickly ahead of a larger vessel. Another use for the vessel due to its speed was for re-supply crew changes to Science vessels further away from the core worlds. With 4 sets of nacelles the Cheyenne can travel farther and faster than any other Vessel within the Red Wood Fleet.
