Graphical orbit plane alignment script

描述
A simple orbital plane alignment aid.

Usage:
To enter target orbit plane into the script, open Control Panel, type inclination and LAN, separated by space, into "Argument" box, then click "Run". The script will then display the following information in the top left corner:
  • RInc - relative inclination,
  • T-AN - time till ascending node,
  • Δv AN - delta-v required to fully align plane at ascending node,
  • T-DN - time till descending node,
  • Δv DN - delta-v required to fully align plane at descending node.
In the middle of a screen, ship's position relative to nodes is shown, while the large box in the bottom-right corner displays suggested manoeuvre direction.

Script configuration
To edit configuration, click "Custom Data" on script's programmable block. All script settings are located in [OrbitAlignDisplay] section.
Currently supported options include:
  • ScreenBlock - exact name of a block with LCD screen. If left empty, script will show orbit on the programmable block itself,
  • Screen - the number of a screen in the block's screen list, beginning from zero. Defaults to 0 when omitted,
  • TextSize - size of text elements. Uses 0.5 by default; for a flight seat the size of 0.43 is recommended.

Wow this gives me Orbiter 2010 vibes. Absolutely amazing mod.

See https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2101095698 . And speaking of trolls, nothing would prevent one from building a really powerful ship and using that to deorbit others' grids.

The more I think about it, a altitude specific autopilot script would be of great value. Orbiting at a set altitude would prevent intrinsic errors in gravity calculation from decaying an orbit. It would also prevent trolls from pushing a ship out of orbit. :P

Spiffy. It would be awesome if you did.

Considered, but haven't gotten around to doing it.

Not just an orbit, but a SPECIFIC orbit?

Have you considered an 'autopilot' script that will keep a ship in a specified orbit?

For anyone unfamiliar with orbital mechanics or confused about how to use this script, I found this website to be very helpful in explaining its concepts: http://www.braeunig.us/space/orbmech.htm
