Ski Resort - Nature Reserve District

There's were some great ski assets on the workshop from years past but none were updated with functionality from recent expansions (and many of them have since been deleted). This pack updates some Snowfall and workshop assets to Parklife modules to create a modular ski resort, complete with lodging options, ski slopes with skiers and snowboarders, and functioning chair lifts from the additional Mass Transit based Ski Chair lift pack.

(Some screenshots are outdated – there's now functioning ski lift chairs instead of cable cars for the ski lifts)

Featured in Cities: Skylines One Hour Build Challenge – Ski Resort

(Original buildings/props listed in parenthesis for credit but are not required; updated Parklife versions are included in this pack)

Found in Parks > Winter Parks & Plazas menu:

Ski Slopes:
  • Main Building (Ski Resort from Snowfall without the slopes)
  • Side Gate
  • Ski Lodge (Resort Lodge)
  • Ski Slope Lighting (Ski Slope Lighting)
  • Rescue Tower (Pioneering Tower)
  • Snow Cannon (Snow Blower)
  • Ski Netting fence network
  • Ski Resort signs [Mount Bohemia sign and a blank sign for Procedural Objects fonts]
  • Ski Flag prop
Lodging/Recreation:Notes:
• The Wooden Cabin does not flatten terrain, allowing it to be placed along cliffsides with its stilts.
• The Slope Lighting, Rescue Tower, and Snow Cannon all help provide an entertainment boost along your slopes for skiers (sightseeing bus routes), but don't attract visitors and thus don't require path access.
• The Hot Springs are designed for boreal maps that use Theme Mixer 2 to create snowy areas (ex: oil texture from Colorado Rockies theme), and is unfortunately frozen over on actual winter maps. Updated to use the new trees from Airports DLC Free Patch.
• The Rescue Tower doubles as a small firewatch tower.

Found in Roads > Winter menu:
  • Ski Resort Trails (one way invisible bus only road)
Ground mode flattens terrain and allows bus stops, elevated mode does not flatten terrain and has no pedestrian lane (so no bus stops). This allows using an elevated segment of trail somewhere along your route to block pedestrians from walking on your trails since it has no pedestrian lanes. Use tunnel mode to return skiers from the base to the summit unseen (also with no pedestrian lanes).
  • Rope Lift (one way bus road with rope segment mesh)
Designed for a single segment only with Rope Lift props placed at both ends. Use Move It! to extend segment longer than default max of 12 units. No pedestrian lane so bus stops must be placed before and/or after, either on the trails or a Skier Staging Area.

Found in Public Transport > Tours menu
  • Skier Staging Area (4 stop bus station)
  • Skier Spawn Point (sightseeing bus spawn)

Vehicles (sightseeing buses w/ snow particle effect):
  • Skier (two types)
  • Snowboarder

For a functioning ski chair lift system (cable car template) to get up the slopes, grab the additional pack here. Found in Transport > Cable Car.
