Story:
It definitely delivers on the emotional story and psychological horror aspects. No spoilers, but if you think the trailers look spooky and ominous, then you will like the overall feel of this game. The aesthetic and soundtrack really helps, and the depth of secrets, foreshadowing, and other small details will make the game equally interesting the second play-through.
Gameplay:
-Good use of emotions mechanic to differentiate from other RPGs
-Basic enemy battles are quick, and boss battles are longer and strategic, which prevents slowdowns in gameplay. Grinding is not needed in most cases.
-Satisfying run speed and dialogue speed-up while holding down z allows for replay value and searching for secrets/multiple endings
-RPG elements are an enjoyable break in tension, and I felt the urge to talk to every NPC
-83 steam achievements

Same charm of the first one with more content, denser levels, and more "Spelunky" interactions. Better get used to dying in a hilarious fashion. Also devs are working hard to make hired hands usable.
