I've owned the boardgame since it came out, and used to play the mechwarrior PNP RPG tons also... this is the best port out.

killer game all round - faithfully reproduces the turn-based styles, takes a dump from a great height on all the other versions that have floated around over the years.

really great that once you finish the campaign you can continue as it automatically switches to career mode and opens up massive maps of the inner sphere etc which is handled really well.

i think i've now been playing the same game for double the time it took to finish the OG campaign.

great value for money, especially if you get it on special like right now.

fiendishly good. like ftl but shorter.

at least, you'd like to think so...

but no. just one more game.
