i mean, it's where it all started. i found this like 20 years ago, when i was 16, at a walmart- bundled with fallout 2 for 20 dollars plus tax. This game revolutionized action rpgs, imo. it is certainly worth a shot- the mechanics are familiar, but different-it is turn based. It is Apocalypse DnD, with a hex map and real consequences to dialogue options.

Are there bugs? Yeah- bethesda took over, but they weren't there yet.

Is it grindy? a little- there are exploits i wouldn't judge anyone for using, like the caravan money loop, or whatever it's proper name is.

Is it fun? I think so- Nothing quite like entering the facility, and immediately after picking a nearby lock, the NPC subtitles kick in coincidentally, and a supermutant- just to noone, asks, "Why the f my peepee no work?"

I really love this game. Would recommend for anyone who likes farming sims, especially Harvest Moon on SNES. its like a suped up version of that, but with so much more. Tons of depth with developing and upgrading the farm, as well as preparing your raw foods into different products. the fishing is great, the dungeon crawling is solid. i have put in alot more time on playstation than steam, and i 100 percent do not regret owning it on multiple platforms. love it
