Sonic Frontiers
Finally we got a Sonic game that controls great, has a deep and interesting story that pulls lore from previous games, and music that is both calming and energetic. My only issues are stylistic choices with how the world/levels look and the weird pop in for assets. Everything here is amazing for being the first time Sonic is in an open world and has set a great foundation for future Sonic games. I can't believe Sonic is back

Shovel Knight Dig
Bite sized rogue-light that was pretty fun. I got a broken build by accident and won in 10 minutes.

Psychonauts 2
Absolutely phenomenal. Every level was uniquely designed and had a great mix of platforming and combat. The story was charming and is only enhanced with the amazing writing. All the characters are memorable. Their stories, struggles, and everything just makes you appreciate them. The focus on personal struggles and mental illness being a core design for most of the levels was genius. Level visuals are diverse and stunning to look at. Everything about it is amazing and I only wish that we could get more platformers of this quality more regularly. I love this game.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Definitely a tech demo for the PS5 but a damn good looking one. feels really solid especially with the feedback from the PS5 controller haptics. Story has the feel of a good Pixar movie. Music is generic garbage and its a shame given the previous games OSTs. Furry-bait

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
Truly an amazing end to the story of Kiryu Kazuma. The game almost made me cry. Also it has a chatterbait mini game.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance
Amazing game with a killer soundtrack. Not as abusive as SMT3 but still can kick your ass if you are not prepared. Defeating Demi-Fiend early gives you too many insane upgrades making the final area way too easy.

Metaphor: ReFantazio
One of those games you won’t forget. Narrative covers topics of prejudice, politics and a myriad of things we face in our adult lives; from the nuance to the extreme. Told in a matter that is clever and has you ask questions about the real world around you. Combat is Atlus’s press turn system at its peak making battles engaging and fulfilling. Even with the final boss being a pain in the ass, it really felt awesome to finally take him down. Music is SMT Gregorian chanting that makes me throw down. What a game man.

Hollow Knight: Silk Song
Perfection is something many people strive for when creating something. Very few achieve that. Team Cherry achieved perfection.
