They have finally fixed all the below problems and more, if you were having issues with this game give it another go!

Look this is a great game, but good luck if you want to play competitive, the last two updates have cause it to crash more and more and it's a crap shoot if you're going to be able to do callouts to your team, and the have no idea what's causing it and how to fix according to their player support page "Tactical Callout Bug
Heads up that the tactical callout feature doesn't always work in-game. This can either be for a single match or it can occur in multiple matches in a row. We are looking into this issue currently, but do not have a known fix ATM."

This on top of having FOUR crashes in two hours made me uninstall the game. It's just not worth trying to play in it's current state. You can end the task and get back into the game pretty quick but it often has UI issues after that and not being able to see your cooldown and other issues really makes it hard to plan things out especially when there is a 90% chance callouts are broken after a crash. (they seem to have finally fixed the callout thing but this game still crashes ALOT sometimes when it's just sitting in the main menu waiting to find a match.

It's been a while and an update ago things seemed to get better but with the latest patch it's gotten bad again, sometimes it even crashes in character select then you get the "leaver" debuff" and can't play for a while... This is literally the only game that crashes on my system so I really don't think it's on my end.

Update: Since the update I say I can recommend this game when it's on sale, it seems to have gone up in price since I purchased it but there is more content now, however there is still little replay-ability once you get the achievements most of which were for seemingly no reason moved into the game instead of being steam achievements which removed all the achievements I had from my steam profile... oh well.

All in all most of the same problems exist but with the extra content I can recommend this game at like 10-15 CAD now.

Really this game is a good concept but it's over 17 CAD for a game that might just push you over 2 hours to 100%, there is little replay value and there should be multiple books to finish at that price, the mechanic aren't overly complicated and I can't imagine it's too hard to create new story goals, they could really overlap more of the mechanics they introduce and make more stories. I wouldn't recommend buying this for more than 5 bucks in it's current state, I was very intrigued by the game after seeing a streamer play a bit of it but at that price I really assumed it would be way longer than it was. I mean this game is nearly half the cost of stray and two thirds the cost of What Remains of Edith Finch but with way less than a quarter of the game play of either game. This isn't one of those games where unique mechanics or a great narrative make up for that disparity in the cost to value. It's a very interesting concept that need to be built on further or the cost lowered for to make it make sense.

So I'd say you'll likely have fun with this game if you like tower defence games. Don't use a guide, without one it only took me a few hours of gameplay to figure out a strategy that lets you beat the game. There is a little bit of replay value trying to get all the achievements but once you beat it you've seen everything and the end screen for completing the game is pretty underwhelming. A new game plus with harder waves or an endless mode would do wonders to keep people coming back to this game.

I changed this to a thumbs down after the bad ending drops a slur in the last line for no real reason.
The story and writing are pretty funny to play through if you enjoy watching bad movies. Best played with a friend, I'm only giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because when I went for the good end to 100% the game I got 12/10 points in the forest scene and then it just hangs.

The mechanics aren't a bad challenge and being able to rewind to decision branches to quickly explore multiple outcomes is a welcome feature. Playing on normal shouldn't be too difficult to play through without game overing just make sure to pay attention to the advice.

So far this is a very worthy sequel to the original game.

You know I really liked this game so I decided to pick it up on sale. I forgot how terrible the ranked match making is, if you go to the mode that lets you pick any rank any region it trys to find a match for about three seconds before making you press "search again" it really should have just been set up to keep searching... hopefully you and another opponent press the button at the exact same time and you meet up, good luck finding a match!
