I’ve only played about 3–4 hours of Hollow Knight, but it’s already one of the best gaming experiences I’ve had in a while.

What really hooked me is how the game handles exploration. Getting lost isn’t just wandering—it’s the design itself. The world constantly nudges you to go deeper, try new paths, and stumble into secrets. It feels intentional and makes the adventure way more rewarding than just following a map.

I’ve beaten three bosses so far, including Hornet, and every fight has been a blast. The battles are quick, sharp, and balanced—challenging enough to keep you focused, but never unfair. Learn the patterns, stay calm, and you feel that classic Soulslike satisfaction when you land the final hit.

The visuals blew me away too. For a 2D platformer, the amount of care in the backgrounds and animations is incredible. Every area feels alive, and the atmosphere pulls you right into the world.

Even just a few hours in, I can tell Hollow Knight is something special. If you’re into Soulslike games, this one absolutely deserves a spot on your list.

"Schedule 1: The Only Business Where ‘Inventory Issues’ Are a Good Thing"

⭐ 10/10 – "Wait, How Did I Just Play for 4 Hours?" ⭐

I loaded up Schedule 1 just to check it out… and suddenly, I was fully invested in my virtual weed empire. This game is stupidly addictive—simple to learn, satisfying to master, and weirdly therapeutic (like organizing your stash at 2 AM).

Why It’s Dope:
🌿 Perfect Mix of Chill & Hustle – Grow, sell, expand, and try not to forget where you left your profits.
💰 From Small-Time to Big Dreams – Start with a couple of plants, end up running the whole operation (legally… probably).
🎮 Single-Player Zen, Multiplayer Shenanigans – Mostly solo-focused, but multiplayer lets you flex your green thumb (or test your trust in friends).

Stoner Logic Approved:

"Just one more upgrade" turns into redesigning your whole setup.

The cops show up way more than my actual landlord.

Low-poly style = less lag, more time to vibe.

Final Thought: If you like management games with a side of chill, this is your new obsession. Play it, love it, and try not to lose track of time (good luck).

"A Brutal but Thrilling Team-Based Soulslike – Best with Friends!"

As a veteran of Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring, I was hooked by NightReign’s fresh take on the genre. This isn’t just another solo grind—it’s built for 3-player squads, and that’s where it truly excels. The combat is punishing but fair, with enemies and bosses clearly designed for coordinated team play. Going solo? Possible, but brutally hard (I love a challenge, but wow, this tests your limits).

The world is dark, immersive, and packed with secrets, and the class synergies add a cool tactical layer. My only gripe? No PvP (yet?!), because invading other squads or arena fights would be amazing. Still, if you’ve got friends who love soulslikes, this is a must-play.

Pros:

Perfect for 3-player co-op – Team strategy feels rewarding

Gritty, atmospheric world with Elden Ring-level exploration

Classes and builds encourage replayability

Boss fights are chaotic, epic, and demand teamwork

Cons:

Solo mode feels way harder than traditional soulslikes

PvP could make this game legendary (devs, please add it!)

9/10 – A refreshing twist on the genre. Bring your squad or prepare to suffer!

"Palworld isn’t just another monster-tamer—it’s a wildly creative open-world survival game that mixes the best parts of Pokémon, Ark, Fortnite, and Rust into something entirely its own."
✅ Pals Are Awesome – They’re not just battleslaves; they farm, build, fight, and even work in factories. The designs are charming (and not just Pokémon clones).
✅ Survival Done Right – Hunger, crafting, base-building—everything feels rewarding, not tedious.
✅ Gunplay + Monster Battles = Chaos – Yes, you can ride a fire-breathing wolf while shooting a rocket launcher at poachers. Enough said.
✅ Horde Rush & Tower Defense – Defending your base from raids is intense and satisfying.
✅ Endless Possibilities – Taming, exploring, automating factories, dungeon-crawling… I still haven’t done everything!

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition – A Masterclass in Exploration and Replayability

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is more than just a game—it's an experience. From its punishing yet fair combat to its intricate world design, every aspect feels meticulously crafted. But what truly sets it apart is how it handles exploration, lore, and replayability, making it a timeless classic.

Finding Your Own Way

One of the most rewarding aspects of Dark Souls is the sheer freedom it gives you in carving your own path. Unlike many modern games that hold your hand, Dark Souls throws you into its bleak, interconnected world and says, "Figure it out." Whether you stumble into the Catacombs too early, take the "intended" route through Undead Burg, or brave the depths of Blighttown unprepared, every decision feels meaningful. The thrill of discovering a hidden shortcut or unlocking a new area after hours of struggle is unmatched.

Replayability: A Different Journey Every Time

Few games encourage multiple playthroughs like Dark Souls does. With different character builds (strength, dex, magic, pyromancy, etc.), NPC questlines that are easy to miss, and alternate routes to explore, no two playthroughs feel the same. Want to rush for a powerful early-game weapon? Go for it. Prefer a slow, methodical approach? That works too. The New Game+ system also ramps up the challenge, ensuring that even veterans are tested.

Lore Hidden in the Shadows

The storytelling in Dark Souls is cryptic yet brilliant. Instead of spoon-feeding you a narrative, it hides its lore in item descriptions, environmental details, and sparse dialogue. But what makes it truly special is how it turns you—the player—into an archaeologist of a dying world.

Piecing together the tragic tales of characters like Artorias, Gwyn, and Solaire feels like solving a mystery where some pages are missing. Was Artorias a noble hero corrupted by the Abyss, or was he always doomed to fail? Is Solaire’s quest for his "sun" a touching parable of hope, or a cruel joke by the gods? The game gives you clues, but you decide what they mean.

Even the world itself tells a story. A corpse clutching a rare weapon isn’t just loot—it’s a question. Who were they? Why did they die here? The ruins of Lordran are littered with silent tragedies, and as you explore, you stitch together your own version of history. Did Gwyn’s linking of the First Flame save the world or doom it? The game never outright says—it lets you draw the conclusion.

This ambiguity is Dark Souls’ greatest strength. Unlike games that force a single narrative, Dark Souls invites you to fill in the gaps. Your interpretation of the lore becomes your story, shaped by what you discover—and what you choose to believe.

An Incredible PC Community

While the PC port had its technical flaws (which were largely fixed by mods like DSFix), the Dark Souls community on PC was—and still is—fantastic. From jolly cooperation to brutal invasions, the multiplayer added another layer of depth. Messages left by other players ranged from lifesaving tips ("Try jumping") to hilarious trolling, creating a shared experience that made the journey feel less lonely.

Final Verdict

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is a masterpiece of game design, rewarding patience, curiosity, and perseverance. Its open-ended exploration, deep lore, near-endless replayability, and vibrant community make it a must-play—even years after its release. If you're ready to "git gud" and embrace the challenge, this game will stay with you long after the final boss falls.

10/10 – Prepare to Die, but More Importantly, Prepare to Be Amazed.

"Like big anime ti.. ahem… tactical RPGs with management sim elements?

Karryn's Prison delivers on that and more—but don’t let the aesthetics fool you. Behind the… ample visuals lies a surprisingly deep game with prison management, riot control, and solid RPG mechanics. Whether you're here for the gameplay or the plot, it's a fun time. Just maybe don't play it with your coworkers watching.
